I'm talking the Spinks who took out Cooney and broke bread with Holmes over 30 rounds.......not the "for the only time in his life" guy who defecated in his jockstrap before he fought Tyson.........than again which Spinks do you see turning up the man who was who he was for 97% of his career the power punching fast unusual awkward skillful jinxster albeit a smaller guy at HW.....or the guy who defecated in his trunks but still came out like a man and got knocked out in 91 seconds?

And y'all dont forget about my man Eddie Futch........ a master strategist.

In this time machine matchup, Im gonna allow for the fact Riddick Bowe would be able to help Spinks out with sparring.

Spinks knew he had a limited career at HW which is why he avoided all contenders and waited for his big money pay day against Tyson.

A great LHW but a limited HW. Wlad would win easily.

Buzz im not being disrespectful.

I went to lengths to speak of how for 97% of his career Spinks was an unbeaten legend with a unusual almost unique level of power, speed and skill. But for one night in his lifetime (the 3% i talk about) he lost the inner game which was astonishing for a man as legendary as Spinks and lost to a monsterous Tyson but was still courageous enough to go out there and try. I'm not being disrespectful you need to watch the Tyson documentary about the Tyson-Spinks fight and hear what insiders have to say.Not just Butch Lewis with his stories of Tyson punching holes in walls and "his little guy....his little guy having to fight that"...... A guy who was there said Spinks did defecate in his trunks but warrior that he was he went out there and tried hard to win. It was shocking and exhilirating at the same time to think Tyson could do that to a legend and warrior like Spinks.

Its a part of fighting that is not discussed enough.I mean how many performances have been ruined by it.

For years many people speculated that the real reason Duran quit against Leonard was that he needed to go to the bathroom due to the cramps he had from the broth he ate earlier.

In another Heavyweight title fight one mans trunks were soiled.I think it was around 1980.

From personal experience, prior to some early amateur fights, I had to revisit and revisit the bathroom. I became paranoid about having empty bowels and not having an accident if i was punched to the solar plexus.

Before they fought Joe Louis many men were overcome by a sense of doom.

Mike Tyson said it best , in regards to Spinks and others, many fighters may be intimidated but they dont fight intimidated.....thats a fighter".

Wladimir would fight overly cautious trying to pick the perfect shot, but he'd find it, probably around the 5th or 6th round.

Of course the Spinks that beat Larry Holmes would have a decent chance against Wlad. Wlad has been beaten by lesser fighters than Spinks. If that match could be made somehow, Wlad had better be at his best, or he would be upset the way Holmes was.
