A question for the pro's and ex pro's on the forum!

I was wondering have any of you guys had to or nearly had to use your skills outside of the ring?I imagine that being a pro boxer attracts unwanted interest from idiots at times, people who want to prove they're hardmen so by starting trouble with a boxer would be a good way of going about it!

I think if you go round giving it the large about being a pro you will come unstuck but I kept my head down when I go out don't drink just out to enjoy myself with my mates not attract attention so I have no problems! But I know a few pro's who walk about larging it and ending up in fights they bring it on themselves. They only end up scrapping cause they wanna be the big man but any sensible pro will keep his head down and not look to put him self in that position.

I'm not being funny lefty but I know a few ex professionals (journeymen); and to be honest; they are not always in the right when it comes to throwing their weight about. The people who 'respond' are not always 'idiots' etc. To be honest if I were harder I'd whack a few of em myself from time to time. :DD

i used to help a friend out on the doors now and again, personally it wasn't for me, really borin and ur just stood waiting for it to kick off when u weren't pulling the door open for people you knew were dicks, but fair play to you and those that do. Altercation is an inevitability in that game there's always one or more prats that don't know and don't want to behave nicely.
