He seem's to come under great criticism from fight fan's as they seem to think he undermine's the trainer or add's confusion in barking his instruction's making corner's look like they are running out of idea's, yet ive never heard of any fighter or trainer not wanting his services in there corner.
I rate powell personally & think he's great in the corner, very old school as he is direct & has a go.

your thought's pls.....

Nice guy, under-rated trainer. Gives good advice- does all the annoying little jobs to make things easier for fighter and trainer on the night.

He always seems to be the one talking the most sense in the corner IMO

Dean always seems to give the right advice and gets his words across clearly and straight to the point. Good cornerman in my opinion

Thats because he is the only you can hear!!!
If its not your corner don't get involved !
If you have't trained the fighter don't get involved!
If the trainer is about to give instructions don't talk over him!
Harsh but simple!

Dean brings something different to corners and I feel he's a vital part in the corner.. :TU:

I'm glad we had another chance to discuss this. going more than a week with a 'Dean Powell's cornerwork' thread would have left me empty and jaded.
