while there are doubters about the matchup, degale is certainly being stepped up, given his last opponent, dilks, was considered a very tough test (beforehand). perhaps smith is the next step?

ony thing that has me puzzled is that, surely after some good wins, and given the promoter he has, smith might get some big title fight (world or european).

I think thats exactly why Smith V De Gale won't happen. Both fighters currently stand to lose far too much by losing.

De Gale is a hot prospect, and Smith, with his promoter, may indeed be close to moving on up, which of course a lose would shatter.

If it DID happen, it would be wonderful- a real North V south feel to it.

i think smith has shown v dirrell he can get to grip's with unorthodox fighter's, im not saying he would beat degale, who i would give the edge purelly on size.

na mate don't mind all the views on the the stoppage I don't think it was the right desision but sum people do! I now one thing won't open my mouth like that again ha ha did I ever feel like a wopper the next day! Lessons learned inside an out the ring! In my opinion if Paul does fight degale I think Paul will win not because he beat me it's I think Paul has seen it all before! I mean I think I froze abit on the big stage which I have openly stated again lesson learned the hard way mite I say! But just think Paul will be able to deal with what comes at him because of the vast of experance he's had from amm to pro to even the contender

I thought it was the right decision - for me Howard Foster knows his stuff - dont get me wrong - I think you could do a lot better but for whatever reason you were not right on the night and Degale came in fully prepared.

Just an opinion - do think you will win belts and earn yourself a few quid to pay the bills.
