Andy Green vs William Hadlow

I posted about this in the other topic with Andy's name in the title, but have since decided it deserves its own topic.
Has anyone noticed that Andy Green is scheduled to face William Hadlow after his next fight?
I think this is a shocking matchup as, assuming shoulder is now ok, Green is not just far superior, but also significantly larger and more powerful than Hadlow. Hadlow has lost 6 of his last 7 fights and was recently knocked out by Robbie Bryant who is a natural LMW. He should not be in the ring with a powerful LHW such as Andy. I understand that it is a good idea for Andy to have some confidence building fights after a year's layoff, but this just seems like too much of a mismatch to me.

I noticed this fight doesn't seem to be on anymore. Anyone know what happened?
Also good to see that Andy is now rated as a LHW, as he was been just under the limit for his last two fights. He's currently rated on BoxRec as #147 in the world and #7 in Australia.

Andy isnt fighting on the card. He wants to rest his shoulder until the card in December.

I was going to ask about the December card, but decided to have a look for myself. Three blokes from my old gym are on that card (Bryant, Green and Letizia) plus Daniel Dawson - I reckon I'll have to go. Hopefully Bryant, Green and Dawson will have decent opponents to make it interesting.

Hey that's ok HD, no offence taken, I've been called worse?? i think you mistook what i said anyway about the scenario involving Shane McConville.
Shane is infact more interested in defending his Aussie title for the time being, and i truly commend him for it, I'd spoken with his dad Mick, and they do have intentions of fighting for a regional, but when theyr'e good and ready and i fully support them. he is getting valuable ring time as defending National Champion, and he will be well & truly good and ready when the time comes.
I said that Shane is more interested in defending his National title and that's the truth for the moment, but he will give them all something to think about in the LHW division of the regionals when he does move up from the Aussie title.
It will be a real boost when he is ready to fight for regional title, which ever regional body it maybe.
All the best,
Brad

Agreed, I think he's a smokey, he's tough as nails, his punch output is excellent, he can take a punch, and moves very well.
Too early yet but should have a really good career, i always look forward to seeing his next opponent.

HD, I have seen Shane fight a number of times and I judged him i think once or twice, I like his work ethic, his style and his overall attitiude to the sport, I just wish there were more people like him and his Dad in the sport, it would be a much better place.
I spoke to his dad regarding the fight in Japan and he said they were really just concentrating on his National title at present, as i said in previous thread, thats a good thing, While i have not see his next opponent fight (Blake Caparello) i beleive it will be a hard dig, Blake goes ok from what i'm told, but this will be a real good battle of two Aussie kids for our National title and it don't get much better than that.
I knew that Shane could defeat the Japanese fighter Kiyota, I matched his fight with Les Piper and Les did really well even though he lost, Also considering it was Les's first time out of the country and his biggest fight, but as normal, he was brave and a little overawed by the situation in Tokyo with everyone screaming for their local hero, it takes a tough nut with few or no emotions to overcome what Les did that night.
Having said that, I think Shane's boxing ability, his hard at the ball manner, his overall tenacity and his hard nut would have seen him win against Kiyota, I told Jameson Bostic same when imatched him with Kiyota, and he went over and did the business.
So, i agree with you, without anything unforeseen, I see a real bright future for Shane and his team, on his night, he is capable of beating any of the LHW division in the Oceania and Asia regions, His style is such, that he can then move onto the European and North American scene with confidence as well, but for now, its a step by step process, So let's just wait until after the Caparello fight.
So it's all good for them mate
Cheers, Brad
