CRYING on the canvas after Thomas Hearns delivered the final right hand. I think Duran was crying for a good 5 minutes with his corner trying to hide it by putting a towel on his head.


That is the only great fighter I have ever seen crying from the pain of a headshot.


I've seen some cry being stopped by bodyshots which are much more painful, but never from a headshot.


I don't even think Grant did after that big right from Butler.

I dare say that Duran's pride was far more injured than anything else.

It really is an amazing achievement to blast Duran out like that, considering what Duran went on to do.
