If James Degale can get a british title fight after a handful of fights then surely Frankie Gavin deserves to aswell ?

Im alot more confident of Gavin beating Lenny Daws then Degale beating Paul Smith thats for sure !

I know Degale is ranked 4th just one behind Smith and i think Gavin is ranked just outside the top 10 in his weight class, but i still dont understand it, allegedly could make it happen no problem.

Come on frank everyone in the boxing world knows Frankie Gavin is the most talented prospect you have, Degale dont need publicity in a risky 50/50 fight just yet, but Funtime needs the public to start taking notice of him now ! get Lenny Daws next please..........

relax, its not a race. Frank would beat Daws in my opinion, and relatively easily to, Gavin is simply too fast for Daws, however, he is only one or maybe two fights away from a shot at Daws so I wouldnt panic.

frankie has looked amazing in every single fight the kid is pure class!

i have had the pleasure of watching him train, and spar on a regular basis, and he is the best technical boxer iv ever seen, he is more than ready for any1 in the u.k. i dont believe in rushing fighters but if a fighter is full of confidence and destroying all opponents in front of him then why not step it up and put a good title on the line? its not like he doesnt have any experience, he is 1 of the best amateurs to ever come out the country so he already has dealt with all sorts of styles and opponents.

frankie is getting matched against some good fighter's that could possibly beat daw's themself's.daws is with hennesy sport's. he could probably mAKE IT QUITE as h.s are not a busy outfit & they'll have to box on frank's show eventually.

i think he is moving gavin along well & im looking fwd to this dean harrison fight who looked pretty good v wright who gave olusegun a good fight. dean harrison is a quality opponent & gavin is far from getting fed a bum, it's a tough little fight for him i feel.

Deans a tough bloke so its a good learning experience for Frankie, but one which he will win comfortably enough. I have no objections to the pace Frankie is being moved at, McDonagh, Tergaoui, and Kelly are good opponents for your first 8 fights. Harrison is a good one for the ninth, and by Frankies eleventh you would expect him to be challenging for the British, that is a good pace.

degale was the olyimpic old medallist, he's the more important fighter and is coming off a 1st round stoppage of a good domestic operator in carl dilks.

even if gavin will be the better pro, i would think degale is top piority.

not keen on degale, he seems like paul mccloskey with a gold medal with that pecking style standing in front of the opponent.

i also agree with the last couple of posts and by no means am i having a go at dean or f.w, but i 100% believe frankie is more than ready to fight for a good title now, and i also believe he is the best out of the olympians so i was just wondering how degale who i also rate very highly is getting his chance against a proven class fighter like smith, which every1 knows is going to be a hard fight for both fighters, and gavin isnt fighting some1 like daws who imo altho a good fighter frankie would have an easier fight for a title? just my oppinion but it would have been nice to see both degale and gavin fighting in the echo arena for a good title each.

After the McDonough fight I thought they would of moved him quickly to the British but it never happened. I think he could beat Daws in his next fight but he doesn't deserve the shot! I would put him in with Jason Cook and if he wins that then Williams then Daws. He is unbelievably talented and I don't see him losing at this level! His skill level is definetly world class

FW has Degale and Smith under contract, as Don King said after Ali-Foreman, I came with the champion and I left with the champion!
The fight of course is a lot easier to make and cheaper too
