Tonight's (mis)matches - Price and Dallas

Might be a bit presumptious to be saying this before the fights, but after Frank Moloney's comments on Ringside on the art of match-making...and giving people what they want..you can't help but feel underwhelmed with who two of our top heavyweight prospects are being paired with tonight.
Dalles gets a blown-up Cruiser in Paul Morris with a record of 2-2-2, whilst Price gets a Belarussian with a 6-15 record. Looks like Sukhaterin has at least done a few rounds with some Eastern Europeans prospects with winning records, but he invariably loses via a complete shutout...probably outclassed.
Both these guys need moving forward in my opinion; especially Price who doesn't seem to have been in a meaningful fight at all yet.
Am I being harsh here ?

I am going for Paul Morris to cause an upset here. Morris should have got the wins against Danny Hughes and Big Dave Ferguson - I don't think Tom Dallas is going to make waves, he is big fit and strong but there is a big chance that Morris will outwork him and get the win.
The Price fight is a disgrace. But hey-ho - he is going to step up sooner than later. I don't think he will get beyond the British title if I am being honest.

Price needs to be fighting someone like John McDermott next. These type of match ups arnt doing anything for him other than wasting time.

I`m sure Price and Dallas will get stepped up soon,Frank Maloney said he would like to match Price with Fury next year which would be great if he could.Frank wouldn`t get away with having Price in with euro journymen next year. The domestic heavyweight division is looking up at the moment.

Paul Butlin would be good for David Price, he would give it a go and give him a test

Shocking matchups. What about Hughes or Dave Howe next.

Look at Damien Campbell on tonights bill, he fought Lee Swaby in his first fight and is taking on Colin Kenna in his 2nd.
Granted, he is 35 years old so he needs to get a move on, but these are the fights Price, an olympic medalist, should have been having.
This match up in his 8th pro fight is a joke.

Danny Hughes would be a good fight for one of them, he really would cause problems and it would really show how good the opponent is!

But did the other guy ever look like winning the fight? Or even a round?

Price has little to offer in the pro ranks. If he hits British title level in next 12-24 months with the opponents about, he gets stopped.

Price is top class. Would flatten McDermott, Fury and Chisora now.

What I know - is that predicting an outcome of a fight isn't science, which is why we go home and tune into every fight on tv or go to the shows because there is a chance of an expected result going the other way. I picked for Paul to beat Dallas and I was wrong, I understand the betting favourite was Dallas and that's why I said it would be an 'upset' if Morris won. I don't think Dallas will progress past domestic level - that I am pretty sure of. Price will probably win a British title and if he does - he has done well.

I agree with most post here. We did offer both fights to British heavyweights and they all turn them down. But you have my word both these boys will be move on in 2011.I believe these 2 are the outstanding pair in our heavyweight divs.

It's hard for me to give a detailed opinion of Price and Dallas considering their oppostion. Until they step up, a lot of questions will remain. At this point, I don't see how anyone can say Price would easily beat the likes of Chisora, yet it is hard for me to agree with someone who says he will never win a British title. Hopefully a real test is upcoming for these boys. Judging by the post above mine, it sounds like that will be happening.

I think price I by far the best prospect at heavyweight now. He does make mistakes but I can see him doing well

Fair play. Surely you can make the McDermott fight though?
