The baddest guys wouldn't just shadow box the imaginary guys they hated, they wouldn't just inflict pain to those they loved or despised, they would do it to those that they where indifferent to.

Some good picks listed here. Some of its persona and image,but there have been some guys who couldnt get enough in the ring and dabbled on the dark side.Mobbed up,crime violence etc.Guys like Eddie Melo.Reggie Gross who I think might have been a button man,Don Jordan (if what he said in an interview about whacking people when he was a young kid is true).

Rahman did some enforcing for drug dealers. But he is as nice a guy as you will ever meet. For some that is just a means to an end.

Thats true,and a lotta fighters have brushes with criminal activity no doubt.
But Gross,and jordan were whacking people.Melo was all mobbed up and got whacked.
And there is some doubt about Jordans stories. Gross is in the joint I believe.
