Heavyweight giants Vitali Klitschko and Kirk Johnson clash in a final eliminator for the WBC title at Madison Square Gardens in New York. Ukranian Klitschko returns to action for the first time since his sixth-round stoppage by Lennox Lewis in June.

Yeah 'tis good to have boxing on more than one channel these days. bbc should go a step further, if they've only got time to show one fiught with no build up then fair enough, but it'd be great if they showed a longer version of the event on bbc3 or 4 as well.

It was probably Baby Joe Mesi's appearance on the undercard that swung it, I get the feeling the Beeb were impressed with him. Barrett isn't going to fold quite so quickly though.

Two nice heavyweight matches.
