There will be a short preview on Ringside tonight of 'Behind The Ropes.' It's a fly on the wall documentary on the Haye / Harrison build up and is scheduled to be shown next Thursday. I'd be really interested to know what you all think.

I find it amazing how there will be about 10 hours of sky footage leading up to 2 minutes of boxing action.

I'm sorry that I can't really talk about fights that Sky buy. As soon as a fight is signed it is put on the schedule so I wouldn't really have an inside track anyway. I've been working on this 'Behind The Ropes' show and although yes, it is all part of the build up to just one fight, I think it'll make good viewing for real boxing fans and perhaps draw in those that aren't fans but are just flicking through the channels.

I think it is a great idea - it will get people buzzing and draw the casual in.

By the way, Ringside has just got better and better every week - I am loving it

a good idea i think ,good to get a bit of an insite.hopw its on for an hour as these shows on for 30 mins (includinf 4 mins of adverts) dosent work for me

Very much in the style of 24/7 it was a good watch. For anyone following the build up there is a lot of repeat of things that already have been said but that is the nature of the beast and expected it. Some good insight to the camp and well put together (maybe could have been a bit more training action though).

The narrator has a very distinctive style some people may not like it but i did enjoy the drama to his tone.

All in all good work Ed.

Yes I caught the last 20 mins, very good too, a cut above the usual Sky promos, will catch the rest later, as taping the midnight repeat.
The narration was excellent, and some good old photos and footage of them both, plus interviews with the right people too. The guy doing the voice over was excellent.

that was simply the shitest thing I have ever seen. I am probably letting my thoughts on the fight cloud my judgment but it was just a lot of bullshit. talking it up to be an epic battle when its a complete joke of a fight. Audley Harrison has never even been in the ring with a top 20 heavyweight ffs.

It was obviously trying to be like fightcamp and 24/7 but got it so so wrong. the voiceover was just cheesy, trying to be overly dramatic. perhaps trying to build it as a 50-50 fight is what turned me off, anyone with half a brain knows its a mismatch. we didn't learn anything new about the fighters, we didn't see anything about Hayes personal and family life.

Sky is building this fight for the casual fan, i get that.....but that show was shockingly bad. I won't be wasting £15 on this shit fight and a cheesey show has only proved what they fight is and thats Sky Hype bull shit, not giving a damn about the hardcore support again. I honestly though they had changed there ways.

PLEASE PLEASE SKY NEVER DO IT AGAIN.

I was expecting a 24/7. It was not. Surely it wouldnt have been that hard to study the format and layout of that series and copy it a little closer. It just didnt work for me at all. Access all areas? it didnt access shit.

i actually think it tried to copy 24/7 to much and just got it so wrong. the narrator.....why was he chosen? The first sentence he spoke all i could think was "why the fornicate is guy speaking" he so annoying.

Thats what I kind of mean - it was like a cheap knock-off version. And the narrator - no idea!! was horrendous!!

Class show Ed, a quantum leap in British boxing TV. Very very impressive start to the new Sky era, congrats to all involved.

i enjoyed it , made me warm more to Harrison to be honest
the Narrator was a bit dramatic but it builds up the fight more

this fight is going to do huge business i reckon , all i see on facebook and hear in work is people talkking about watching it , even Girls ( no offence anyone )

not seen hype like this since Rickys comeback fight at Manchester

It seemed to be quite American in it's production style (no need for the American narrator IMO) and has been based on 24/7 or 360, but I enjoy both those shows, so it went down well with me. It's got me even more fired up for Saturday night

I think Sky should persevere with this type of show for the BIG fights, it needs a few tweaks, but I reckon the casual fans who watched it will be more likely to buy the PPV, so it does it's job and hopefully draws th casual fans deeper into Our Great sport

It did make me feel quite happy actually Rob lol. Yes it was derivative of a 24/7 or a UFC Countdown show, but they're proven formats that work on boxing's lost demographic, the one that the UFC has cornered. I found it very encouraging, to be honest, it suggested to me that British boxing has finally looked outside itself and wants to do something about attracting a new audience. My hope is that the new Sky boxing team will pick up the ball and run with it, improve on the other shows I've mentioned. A good start, in my opinion, but I understand that it might not work for everyone.

You did a good job Ed,

They say a person can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear...well you gave it a good go and will have piqued any casual fans interest with the show. I'd have rathered a different narrator, fella sounded a bit like that daft sod who does X-factor...er not that i ever watch that sh*t..lol

But over a decent job of hyping up the fight, Harrison is nothing else is a superb talker and has sold himself and his chances in this fight to the maximum. He's done a good job for SKY in the promotion, but we'll see how he does when the fists start flying.

Audley does seem to be genuine in his belief, we await to see if he is just delusional as Haye reckons......though it is without a doubt Shadeed Suluki is delusional. I heard him rattling on about how Lamon Brewster schooled Klitshko before knocking him about, and that is complete and utter b*llocks. We all know Brewster was a punching bag in that fight and then took full advantage when chinny Wlad gassed....brave performance and a lovely win. But to call it a schooling is retarded, and when Suluki comes out with crap like that, it does make it hard to take anything else he says seriously.
