1) Steven Sharoudi v Sid Razak - Lightweight 6x2s
2) Eamonn Goodbrand v Bobby Wood - Lightheavy weight 6x2s
3) Ryan Brawley v TBA 8X2

Whats the deal with brawley? Wins prizefighter then does hardly anything! Has he been injured?

so he expects people to fork out £100 or so for this ? disgusting ..these diner shows are ruining scottish boxing .

Think he had a operation on his knee.. Will be interesting to see who tho they put him in with?

sometimes u get a good 1 every now and again. but basically u are paying for the expensive dinner. supposedly the dinner show alex morrison put on last week was brilliant. actually had a crackin line up anol.

Morrisons show was good. Wasnt a bad fight on it.. The place was cracking inside.. Ricky Burns, John Simpson were talking away to whoever approached them... 2 Good guys... 300 poeple were there, so it was actully a decent atmosphere for a dinner show

that may be the case but there just putting the arse out of it up here. boxing could be a bigger sport up her if it was availble to more people and these shws dont help

To be fair Alba, he doesn't expect people to fork out £100 for this. It's a private members club, men only, dinner suits and it's been going since the seventies. The members are paying for the whole night out, dinner, top guest speakers and the boxing.

I took 5 clients there recently just like some companies would use a box at the football for corporate entertainment, it wasn't cheap but if I had done the same at Rangers or Celtic it would have cost me a lot more.

It's not everybody's cup of tea, but at least he's giving 6 boxers work every month.

He is running a public show at Scotstoun Leisure Centre on the 27th, tickets are £30 which seems ok to me.

He has just returned to training after a knee operation. Don't think he will be fighting until the new year.

I disagree with you alba mate,Alex Morrisons show last friday was excellent,good fighters in great arena much cheaper as well.Some promoters over protect there fighters and when it comes to the crunch its not there !

I disagree with you alba mate,Alex Morrisons show last friday was excellent,good fighters in great arena much cheaper as well.Some promoters over protect there fighters and when it comes to the crunch its not there !

Hi billy ,

would a fighter prefer to fight at a dinner show ,or in an arena? i think the fact that most of the shows up here that are dinner shows dosent help the sport up here and wont help it grow and reach . Yes the boxers will get paid,but if dinner shows were that good why dont wee see boxers fight there entire career doing them?

im not doubting the quality of morrisons shows

Also it might be cheaper than going to see Rangers or Celtic play when your entertaining guests ,but is a room full of guys in suits more deserving than an arena full of paying punters who might go to boxing more reguarly etc ...

Alba, I'm not saying the suits are more deserving, but they are getting humped, pricewise, for the priviledge!! There are still some good, fair priced shows going on for the boxing fans, Big Alex with the Warren shows, next one 4th Dec. Gilmour's small hall show on 27th Nov, Paul Grahams on 19th Nov. They'll all be around the £30 -£40 mark.

There will always be a market for the dinner shows and the boxers are getting a payday out of it. For what it's worth, give me a small hall or arena show anyday.
