Just like he did to his ex?

"Passing sentence at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court, District Judge Quentin Purdy, said: "Your behaviour on 28 May was disgraceful and downright humiliating.
"You used violence on this young lady and then to heap ignominy on her you turned her over and slapped her on the bottom repeatedly.""

He also drives a smart car apparently.

So what did he do to her?
Did he just grab her arms throw her on a bed and spank her?

I think its a bit more than that. I doubt he would have pleaded guilty to assault for a few slaps on the arse.
The 6ft 4ins fighter slapped the 24-year-old student around the face before hitting her bottom and legs in the May attack in Mayfair after finding a message on her phone in which a man called her "babe"

How long does it take to learn that you don't hit a woman?
I'll enjoy watching Wlad dish out the beating he deserves.

He admitted to slapping her face too (Evening Standard).

He's not 6' 4". That's a journalist being silly.

Klit will do him in 3 or 4 rounds. What a lowlife for hitting a woman but you've got to give him credit for fighting Wlad - doubt he'll be pulling out with a "back injury"

Chisora was listed at 6'1.25'' against Sexton. I think the journalist listed him at 6'4'' because it would somehow make him seem badder.
Not only does Wlad have to watch out for one of Chisora's french kisses, he has to watch his butt as well!

Damn. I was just starting to like him. Even though there is no way in the world he's going to win, I was going to root for him at least. There is almost no reason to bother watching this fight now. I'll just watch the KO on Youtube.

He found text messages from another man on his girlfriend's phone and hit the roof.
Let's be fair, he could have really belted her, being a heavyweight proffessional boxer.
I think he knows he has cocked up and I imagine the judge saw it the same way, otherwise he would be banged up now.

I wish he had. Anyone who assaults a woman doesn't deserve to make a fortune, especially by fighting. He should have been made to realise how serious the crime was by being banged up and having his licence revoked.
You may be a great example of someone who has turned their life around and I hope Del can too, but violent crime shouldn't be taken lightly.
I hope Wlad flattens him now.

Laughing at people concentrating on the fact they got Chisora's height wrong. Boxers heights are always wrong, unless you are Kovit of course.
Don't reckon I'll be supporting a man who slaps women about over Wlad now. Hopefully (and I reckon it might happen) Wlad comes out like he did in the first Brewster fight but takes Del out in about 4 rounds to give the future Haye fight the maximum amount of extra hype

To say he doesn't deserve to make a fortune, especially by fighting, is a little ridiculous imo. He slapped his girlfriend. Whilst that may be wrong, it was, as far as i am aware, an isolated incident, over something that we don't know the ins and outs of. He has been reprimanded now, as he deserved to be. They have both gone there seperate ways. Hopefully he has learnt his lesson, and moves on. People make these mistakes. a moment of madness. If he does it again then he's an idiot, but i can't see Derek being this monster that goes around attacking woman, just because of this one incident. Not making light of it, but that's how i see it.
Hope he beats WK and brings a change to the heavyweights, those boys have had it good for too long!!

The BBC article said he had a track record of it.
What "it" meant is a bit ambiguous.

Interestingly enough, my mum used to spank my bottom as well. To be fair though she wasn't a 6+ foot professional heavyweight boxer...

"The court was told that Chisora, who has previous convictions for assault...."
So it is not an isolated incident. A boxing licence should be a privilege and those who abuse it and bring the sport into disrepute by committing violent crimes (repeatedly) should face a suspension. IF they demonstrate that they have turned themselves around then they can get their licence back.
You simply should not be able to jump from being convicted of assaulting a woman to fighting for the world heavyweight title in a few weeks.
What do you think incidents like this do for our chances of getting boxing back on the BBC? People associate boxing with crime and violence and incidents like this only strengthen this view.

The BBC havent stopped showing Newcastle on Match of the day because of Joey Bartons record, have they? And there are loads more far higher profile incidents than Chisora's conviction.Rugby(Union and League),Cricket,Racing and Football have all had high profile scandals recently yet the Beeb still show them.Del boy is more or less unknown and the effect on the sport will be minimal. The powers that be at The BBC just dony like Boxing, thats about it.
