This fight apparently takes place on friday for the vacant English Middleweight title, Rhodes is continuing the long road to recovery in a bid to get back to the dizzy heights he reached a few years back which included a tilt at world rated Otis Grant, Jackson lives not far from me in Wordsley and actually occasionally posts on here although i am not sure he is to keen to let on. He has a 9-3 (0) record while Rhodes is at 27-3 (19) and holds a wide experience advantage despite a lapse in form over recent years. In his last fight Jackson won the Midlands Area Super-Middleweight Title in a third fight with Mike Duffield he won the first but lost the second, it was a good win considering Simeon Cover stopped him in the fight prior to that and his other loss was over the distance to Alan Jones. Not a bad result considering Jones drew with Alan Foster and beat Jim Rock last time out on a narrow points decision. Jackson will look to outbox Rhodes but will experience tell? I hope Peter can do it and i say good luck to him.

Peter Jackson is out with flu, Steve. I think the bout may be re-scheduled for December at Bethnal Green. No official word yet I don't think though.

Oh i see, well i didn't know about that. Is Rhodes still fighting do you know Lightsoot?

No. I think Rhodes is going to fight at Bethnal Green in Dec. There must be a decent chance that Peter Jackson is going to be in the opposite corner.

The fight's off, Steve689. Peter has a virus and was forced to pull out. The fight should go on again shortly. Rhodes looks to be punching hard again, but Jacko is capable, confident and in great shape. He's been sparring the likes of Roddy Doran and Conroy McIntosh. The points loss to Jones was no disgrace. Jacko was outsmarted more than anything, and Jones as you say, is no mug.

Thanks guys nice words about me,simple i am learning in one if not the most hardest and toughest game out there,that duffield is below average{no offence Mike} but what he does is good as the ingles tell him what to do...Hold and run like hell!!!.He did win the second fight through holding and tapping me,i didnt understand just how he got the decision i thought i won easy-ish but there u go,i came away watched the tape and give him a good hiding in the rematch.Anyway im down to middle weight now and everything is going wicked,put it this way i respect ryan loads i used to watch him and envy him,now the chance has come to fight him i jumped at it- i promise you this i will give him a dam hard nights work!! Simeon Cover...lol...I actually boxed very well through round one against him,won that round then started to relax working of the jab next thing i knew i was looking at my corner sideways on the floor-man !!! he hit me with a right hand i never saw it coming..lol...fair play to him.

Decent match up, with the winner a chance I suspect of a shot at the unbeaten ( but God knows how following his last fight ) Bendall.

I am def up for it Kieran but we are talking about a ten rounder against good opposition chap doubt very much i will be fit for that date im looking at early feb late jan defo

This gets more and more confusing.
According to Promotor etc definitely on, 11/12 Bethnal Green, and not the famous Selected Opponent i.e. it is Jackson v Rhodes.
Who's telling the porkies ?
This is a long way to travel mid week, with time off work etc, and yours is the fight I want to see.
If it ain't on, I ain't going, so what's the truth ?
