....a case for getting their bets returned? I didn't BTW i just had a straight win for Haye, but Haye basically stated that he carried Aud for 3 rounds, surley there must be a case for those who have lost their money on the first two to get their money back?
Thoughts?

Had a good chunk on Haye inside 3 and backed rnds 2 and 3 individually, it's paid for the weekend in Manchester and some.

Good to see you get something back for a change.

I had Haye 1 and 2 but still some on 3 so won overall, but this is nonsense, Haye didn't carry him. he was just fighting his usual fight, waiting for the opening then pouncing. Aud just covered up for the first 2 and Haye didn't see his opening, simple as.

Livingstone Cole wrote:I can't see any bets being returned. It seemed pretty obvious to me that Haye said that to justify his less than exciting performance over the first two rounds. It's pretty much how he started against Valuev too, however confident Haye was, it looked to me that he was still aware that Harrison has a bit of a crack.
I put a bet on Haye in the 3rd BTW.

Did you even watch the fight? he didnt even try for 2 rounds then suddenly the bell rings for round 3 and he jumps all over harrison. Not to mention groves after his fight thanking haye for giving him the heads up on which round to bet on.

His usual fight? he's ko'd 13 opponents in round 1 or 2 - thats more than half his fights. He dropped ruiz in under 30 seconds of the first round.

impossible to prove he was carrying him.
But I do think Haye could've got him out in a round if he'd gone for it

No case at all.

So what if he did carry him. Shame on the bookies for taking bets on such a mismatch and not knowing one guy was so superior that he could end it whenever he wanted.
There would be an issue if it was Harrison who placed the bet but not haye.

Ali did it throughout his career and everyone loved it.
If Haye has the ability to do it, good for him.

The problem is when they back themselves to lose.

lol i really don't see the problem here,
it's not like Audely backed Haye to win in round 3 is it now.
Thats why it's called gambling or else we would all be millionaires.
Image the fuss in Hayes next fight if he mentions a ko round,
all the muggs will back it and then be complaining if it doesn't happen,
it's very very hard to predict a stoppage round in a fight even if your involved in it,
thats why bookies are happy to take bets.
another few seconds and if the ref hadn't have stopped in he would have lost the bet wouldn't he and we would not e having this disscussion,
there are are a million other variables too, clash of head, injury and even Audely actually throwing some punches and makeing it a harder fight

Backing yourself to win in a certain round is fine but Haye still had to actually do it and theres no guarantees he would have.
Look at Evander Holyfield in the first fight with Lennox Lewis. Holyfield was convinced he was going to Ko Lennox in the 3rd - even God told him so. Did it happen, No.

I had a big bet on Haye in a round (I'd actualy told Ian it would be within the first minute), but I'd had enough on rounds 2-4 to cover it.
He clearly could have won within a round (indeed my predicted 45 seconds) but im not annoyed with him - its completely up to Haye how he wants to fight.

Your losing streak.
Keep picking the favourites though and you'll be OK.

Had 50 on Haye winning within the first 6 rounds at 7/10.
That looked like free money, but as always when I get a win I'm kicking myself I didnt put more in.
