Not a fighter that gets mentioned much but has some pretty good wins on his record.Seems like did his legacy some damage in the Nunn fight.

how good was he? what was his style like?.

Also i am currently finishing off my British middleweights fight collection by getting what Bomber Graham fights i can(hasn't been an easy task finding them) and i've so far been unable to obtain the 2 Kalambay-Graham fights but it seems kalambay was Graham's nemesis.I would Greatly appreciate anyones recollections of those fights.cheers.

Hi Steve

I have a lot of Kalambay and Graham fights. Kalambay was a very good fighter, but the decision he got in the second fight aganist Graham was downright robbery. Graham had two points taken away by the referee and when the referee at the end lifted Grahams hand by mistake, Steve Holdsworth from Eurosport called him "That silly old man". I remember writing a letter to "Boxing News" to complain about the decision.

Best wishes

Kalambay was an excellent boxer who was avoided by many of the top middles of his time..... his wins over Graham and Mike Mccallum show why... I think Graham lost points in his 2nd fight with Kalambay for holding... even with the points I think Kalambay deserved the win... he was just too cute for Graham.
