Bingo!

Ried v Ottke is of no interest to Calzaghe? Sure'ly he should be gunning for Ried to bring those titles back to our shores. If Ried does win, all the rage will be on Calzaghe v Ried. Ried has stated he wants to fight Joe again, so there should be no problem getting it on, unless the beeb and sky fall out over it.

I would not be shocked if Ried won, and for some reason Calzaghe ducks out of the fight. Obviously we would be left to work that part out for ourselves, nothing is ever black & white when JC & Warren are around, but i just have a feeling Calzaghe may not want a rematch with Ried, even if 2 genuine titles are at stake! I can never figure out what Calzaghe wants. I think you are right Bennie, i dont think Calzaghe knows what he wants either!

My understanding is that Universum now have rights on Gonzalez and, with a quite a strong light-heavyweight stable, he'll surely be tied up in Germany for the forseable future.

I still think a fight with Hopkins is possible, especially if Hopkins-De La Hoya is dead. It just needs someone to cough up the money; I'm sure gate receipts at the Millenium Stadium and transatlantic PPV sales would go someway to paying for the purses. But of course, I'm not a promoter.

If Mundine could beat Ottke that could be a fairly
big one. However I suspect Ottke will retire before he has the chance.

I'm very suprised, if he's considering a move to light-heavy, that he made no mention whatsoever of Antonio Tarver.

Calzaghe will fight Jeff Lacy IMO. Cant see him fighting at light-heavy despite what he says.

Jeff Lacy is being groomed as Calzaghe's 'defining fight' by Sports Network and US TV. By being placed on SN bills and fighting this side of the Atlantic, it's pretty clear we'll see Calzaghe - Lacy for the WBo title in the not to distance future. It would certainly be no 'defining fight' either, Lacy is not bad, but the fight would stink of Lewis - Grant IMO.
