I will be picking up a copy tonight Oliver.

I will put up the top 10 when i get the chance. Ray Wheatley's Magazine's are always good value. His monthly Paper is great also.
Ray is a credit to Boxing in this country, With his Magazine and help in getting our fighters World Rankings with the IBF.

Yeah, World of Boxing is decent. Is The Fist still going? Looked nicer than WOB but the content was pretty shabby.

You wouldn't believe it, my local news agent is sold out. I'm going to have to look around for it.

4th

I'm surprised the book didn't have Hector Thompson verse Duran... I heard that was a tough scrap verses arguably the greatest lightweight ever at his peak.

Guess what was ranked 1st... I was surprised it wasn't Rose vs Harada

I thought Rose v Harada would have been number 1, but hey it wasnt far off.
From reading the article accompanying number 1 though it was a worthy winner.

I debated this elsewhere, Rose against Chuchu Castillo was a fight.
He fought the Mexican in California, in front of a joint full on mad mex's.
He won a split decision. In mexican terms, that mean he won well but there was a coward on the panel
He & Jack never got out of the stadium until 4 am. After the riots had ceased.
That's my No 1 Australian win.

One of the most outstanding fights of this era has to be Ganoy V Onekiki. What a blue that was. :o

That was a wild night. It was rumoured that Elvis Presley was sitting in the crowd wearing a false beard and dark glasses. Kirk Douglas had his car blown up.
Mexicans are hopeless at losing.

that has become the most overatted victory ever. i mean it was good and i enjoyed watching it but green has had better victories than that. he's destruction of lucas was more impressive than beating a 40 yr old who hadnt won a meaningful fight in years. the fact that it rated over darchinyans KO of mijares is laughable

It only became over rated after Greeny did it so easily. You must remember prior he was a heavy under dog globally. I for one won a fair bit of money. I was confident Green would win but not in that fashion. I am not arguing your point re Mijares and Vic but greeny's victory, becuase it was Jones, deserved to be in the list IMO...
