Right that done, I've a feeling Katsidis has a real punchers chance & at 2/1 to win, I'm going to back him.

This is going to be fight of the Year, 2 great, contrasting styles. I think Marquez will outbid him early before the relentless Katsidis cones on strong in the middle rounds, I think JMM will catch MK coming in with uppercuts and possibly hurting him a few times! But MK will keep coming landing his own big shots possibly cutting Marquez. I see JMM holding on knackered at the end. And Katsidis dominating but his early lead will take him through, just. Winning by a close maybe even split decision. I'm really excited about this

I thought that Marquez struggled some in his last bout with the pace. Katsidis is Juan Diaz x some; I really think that Katsidis will outpunch Marquez over the last few rounds. Rafael looked a little worn with the years a few weeks ago and Juan Manuel has been around forever. Katsidis is very strong and seems to have a touch more craft now. He'll get to Marquez.

It'll have to go some to top the other fight tonight you'd think, Froch/Abraham, but yes one of the best matchups of the year. I think Marquez will have too much for the Aussie warrior and slice n dice him for a points win or late stop.

Great call. Marquez proved me wrong. What a fierce, determined man he is. He really lets his hands fly when he is in trouble and when the other guy is in trouble. Great fight.

What a great fight that was - pure war

Great fight, but the result never looked in doubt, even with the knock down

It was for me so far FOTY! An absolute war, Marquez started well with his jab and movement but Katsidis started wearing him down landing nice chopping right hands. But Marquez showed his Mexicuan bravery and determination to throw those combinations when he was clearly knackered, great finishing instincts by Juan!

correc me if im wrong or are my eyes playing tricks on me, marquez totally outclassed kastidis bar being knocked down in the 3rd round which was a round he was winnin / went on to win. then went on to knock kastidis out. fight of the year cant be a one sided fight!

Just watching this now, wow, Marquez looks awesome, his range of punches and accuracy are incredible, as too is his footwork. He's so hard to nail with subsequent shots, which is why I think Manny struggles, as he likes to throw three or four at a time.

Those sweeping left and right hooks to the body look incredibly hurtful.

How the hell does Katsidis pass the brain scan, that guy is in a war in every fight I have seen him in!

It was not a one sided fight, HBO commentary scored rounds to Katsidis and he was competitive all the way through the fight!
I have just watched the fight, it was a great battle!

I thought that, too. What a fighter that man is. He's not as quick or as good as once he was, but since the Pac draw he's broken Casa, Diaz & Katsidis through sheer will, all bigger dudes/guys who'd been at the weight their entire careers. A truly hard hard man, as well as a brilliant boxer.

this is spot on. JMM is my favourite current fighter even though I know that Floyd and Manny have superior tools. Having said that I do think Manny has avoided him because he knows JMM can get to him... If they make the fight now with JMM at 37 and force it at 140 or above, all the advantages are with Pac, a prime JMM at 135 with Manny at 135 as part 3 of the trilogy would have been a classic

I called it spot on guys further up the page haha.. what a great fighter Marquez is. That fight has made me realise how big of a jump it is to world level. Look how Katsidis went through Mitchell, to what Marquez done to Katsidis.. them uppercuts Jmm throws are really accurate and devastating!

Marquez is beautiful to watch.
