Carl keeps going on about this but did anyone else think he got the fight?
Cos I had Kessler pretty comfortable

I had it fairly wide to Kessler as well, I think it's quite ironic how he says it was a hometown decision when his fight with Dirrel was closer and IMO a bad decision.

Thats exactly what I was thinking...if what he meant was 'I would have got that in Nottingham' ...well, I probably agree, but that isn't a good thing!

Draw/Froch keeps belt IMO.
(Just my OP, don’t like being biased & don’t like being harsh).

Calzaghe/Hopkins was a draw but I’m glad they gave it to Joe to keep his 0 in tact.

I had it 7-5 Kessler. Froch hurt Kessler more than Kessler hurt Froch, but the eye catching stuff in more rounds came form Kessler. Personally speaking I think if the fight had been in Nottingham, Kessler would still have got the decision.

His 0 would have been in tact had the fight been a draw.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Froch v Dirrell was a close fight that Froch won, Froch v Kessler was a close fight that Kessler won. No robberies.

I had it 115-113 Kessler. Some close rounds though and I would have had no problem with a draw or a very close win for Froch.

When i watched it live I though Kessler had nicked it, or rather Froch has buggered about too much.
When I watched it sober, I had Froch a round up. But will always stick with how i felt when I watched it live.
It was definitely worthy of a 15 rounder, than a 12.

Kessler got the decision, but if that fight had been in Nottingham I think Froch would have shown a lot more urgency and the ref would have stepped in to stop Kessler's constant hitting round the back of the head. Enough for Carl to have stopped him or knicked the decision himself.

I had it a draw or a very close one either way. Its always a shame in an incredible fight like that when 1 has to lose.
They gotta do it again. Id like to see that in nottingham next.
Ward is an overrated bum who carl would make look like jeff lacey again.
Glen johnson in my mind could expose ward too.
Im happy to see glencoffe get more paydays he so richly deserves. But froch will beat him . He is a much better counter puncher than woods and of course he is far far more confident and has a far far better chin and power and more skill. My point is johnson had problems with woods, carl beats him.

i had it close, a draw or one round either way, if froch wasnt at 100% then i think a 100% froch would have stopped him, same in a 15 round fight (both of which are stupid imponderables i know), I think the scoring was silly IMO

I had Froch narrowly beating Kessler. Thought the judges bought the pro Kessler crowd's cheers every time the Dane threw a shot. Froch got the better of exchanges, and though he lost his way in the middle rounds, he finished strongly and edged the championship rounds. The wide score totals in Kessler's were very dubious IMO.
Anyway, it was a joy to watch Carl school Abraham last night in a fight that I personally thought he'd lose. Froch was brilliant.

I had Froch winning when I watched it. Both me and my mate who bought the fight in had him up on our scorecards and were p*ssed off with the result. In retrospect we were both pretty drunk, and we really wanted Froch to win. I got in and immediately started a thread asking if anybody else thought he'd won (and really bummed out some septic who hadn't seen the fight yet because they were showing a taped broadcast over there: he was really angry with me but it's not my fault is it? How was I to know. Don't go on a boxing forum AFTER a fight if you don't want to know the result you douchebag)
Pretty much nobody agreed with me so that tells you something: he didn't win.
Great fight, though I never watched it again for some reason. One word: REMATCH.

Ward is not a bum and there is nothing wrong with Wood's chin. Why is Froch's "far far better"?.
