Agreed 110% SHAME ONE YOU SKY
We all know that there's a real reason for Sky not showing Carl Froch.
Politics are killing the game and Sky are guilty bigtime of siding with certain promoters.

Yeah, Froch's lack of UK exposure is criminal.

Don't know what the problem is. Froch needed to get rid of Henessey years ago, he should've been Sky's poster boy even before Haye got there.

Hennesey is the reason why Froch is not well known to the public..sad story!

Tragic. We've just watched pound for pound arguably the best british fighter in ten years (considering level of recent opponents and the respective points in their career). On a station no one outside boxing knows, and cannot even consolidate an interview with a fighter who has come back from a loss to regain a WBC strap.

Hennessy is not the issue, it's the underhand deal that Sky did with another promoter which included the blocking of Hennessey from the airwaves.
All the bullshit in the world from Sky on here or in BM wont convince me otherwise.
Again I say it SHAME ON YOU SKY TV you are guilty of sticking the knife into our sport.
Scum.

If Froch/Hennessy are so keen they should be on SKY, why did they leave in the first place?

Adam Smith said on Twitter this morning that he'lll do all in his power to get Froch on Sky.
Fair play. Hope he can swing it.

I prefer to have them both on Sky. Haye is an exciting fighter but if he doesnt fight a Klitscho bro
next then Sky show hold a lighter to his contract. He has had two easy PPV paydays, but don't take the piss
with the next fight.

first all of Froch was brilliant last night, he's a fighter British Boxing needs as he's world class, he's got personality and he doesnt back down to guys like Kalle Sauerland who ruin Boxing.
Will Sky be able to show his Super 6 fights though as I thought Primetime had a deal to show all of the fights?

Froch is not on SKY because Hennsssy doesn't have a contract with Sky, he had one with the with BBC, ITV and now Primetime. Quite simple. He has not been blacklisted by anyone, thats a ridiculous statement and your conspiracy theory is somewhat naive to say the least.
That said, I have heard Hennessy's negotiating skills and personality have pissed alot of people off and leave a lot to be desired in TV land.
Froch deserves a gong for his efforts and for being more loyal to his promoter than many others at his level, maybe at the expense of fame and fortune, quite possibly.
Primetime charge £15 too and is as easy to get as Sky BO so other than maybe the profile and paypacket it's not really hidden away is it and makes no differnce to the casual viewer just Froch himself I would have thought?
Anyway, superb performance and well done to Froch and Robert McCracken. Having said that, his profile would have been much higher had he allowed the fight in Germany and done a job on AA in his own country and not in Helsinki.
Why do you think froch aint on?

Hennessy gets a lot of stick but don't forget that he is the bloke responsible for Froch's outstanding CV.
bang on.
if froch had been with a certain other promoter then his cv would be nowhere near as impressive.
which isn't to denigrate a certain other promoter...he protects the health of his fighters by keeping them out of the real tough fights til later on in their careers...and makes them a lot of money into the bargain.
but that isn't necessarily what the fans want to see.
hatton was ready to fight Kosta for a good 2- 3 years prior to the fight actually taking place....after the phillips fight imo....but how much of his career did he waste against the pedersons of this world? or howabout some of calzaghes defences against the likes of pudwill?
not good for the sport.
but then consider that in fightin such dross Hatton continued his winning streak...built up his fan base and ultimately became probably the most globally famous english boxer of the last 20 years or so...and Calzaghe managed to retire undefeated...and with his faculties intact..
so i spose what i'm saying really is that achievement sometimes can be sacrificed for commercial reasons.

I'd disagree with your statement that Primetime is 'not really hidden away'. It may well be as easy to get as SKY Box Office, in the physical sense, but people have to know about it first. How many other channels does Sky Box Office have pimping its shows?
i actually prefer primetime.
primarily because my spongin mate registered his credit card on it on my box so every time i watch a live event on there he pays for it....and can't complain cos i always pay for the sky matches..

I clearly know more than you as boxingchat verifies. You seriously think that if Froch was with Hatton or Haye or Matchroom or Warren that they wouldn't show him?
Use your brain.
Froch is getting no exposure because Hennessey can't secure a broadcast contract.
To suggest that Froch isn't getting on because of an illegal, anti-competitive business deal is just dumb.
With that all said, expect a deal on the table soon. Let's just hope Mick Hennessey has read up on 'The Beginner's Guide on How to Negotiate'.

Froch is on Sky. On Saturday I switched on my Sky box, went to my Sky Planner, selected box office, selected Sport and then selected Froch v Abraham. Who cares what the logo says in the corner of the picture?
Maybe it's different for cable customers, but watching Primetime pay-per-view for me is a very similar experience to watching Sky box office.

But without all of the adverts and 'latest odds' halfway through the fight. Gets my vote.
