Impressive, don't blink. One of the KO's of the year, Iron Mike style.

That was a big punch. Freddie did well to get up but the ref did the right thing. Berto was very fast and confident.

Neither could I, against Litzau of all people. Wasn't a bad fight, although Caballero was a bit of a letdown, even allowed Litzau to bully him at some points, something I didn't see coming.

Good finish & I agree the correct decision by the ref to stop it.

seen Berto twice now.....not sure how he's got to the top he bores me stiff watching him.Looks like a pretty boy too. His opponent did NOTHING in that fight.

Absolutely brutal KO.

Here's hoping Freddie makes a full recovery.

Now I know why Berto gets a million dollars for last night.

Got to admit I had my doubts about Berto but that was impressive. He has developed very well, and while I don't think he's an elite level fighter yet he's definitely on the way to the top level. As other shave said though, he needs a breakout fight. He might have to move up to get it though, as there is no one at welter to fight.

I say that on the assumption that Mayweather and Pacquiao would not be interested.

Absolutely.

Berto sent a huge message out by defeating such an epic challenger.

:o IMO he's great to watch! I've seen a lot of his fights on the way up too. Perhaps prior to this you just saw the Collzao fight or something?

Wouldn't call that brutal. Good shot no doubt. Good refereeing too.

Berto is good, but he needs to fight some live bodies.

no mate i just checked his record and it was David Estrada who I saw him against. He just looks like a squat little short man, not especially great at anything to me and a bit of a pretty boy. On youtube the clip of his most recent fight is 8 mins 34 secs but 4 minutes of that is dancing and posing to his own ring entrance in his fancy adidas trainers. Maybe I'm missing something but he just looks a posh Denton Vassell to me.

mind you I never thought Jermain Taylor was a million dollars versus Angel Manfredy and he proved me wrong so maybe it's early to call.

Ok, but we've seen a lot worse get title shots. Berto made it seem a lot easier than it should have been, he'd never been KO'd before and had just stopped Mike Anchondo and Corley, so he was no bum.
