Pacquiao/Mayweather to finally fight, BBC/ITV to return to boxing, Matthew Hatton to face a British welterweight, David Haye to fight a Klitschko, an American to grab a version of the Heavyweight title, Kell Brook and Nathan Cleverly to win World titles, Carl Froch to win the Super 6, more unification tournaments/leagues like the Super 6, Evander Holyfield to quit, Ricky Hatton to continue his recovery, Quality former amateurs still being fast-tracked, Darren Barker to fight Matthew Macklin, for Audley Harrison to be defeated by Price/Fury/Dallas/Towers.

Agree with most but why would you want an American heavyweight champion again and amatuers to continue to be fast tracked?

Personally I think the only good thing about a American heavyweight champion is for greater exposure but the only way I can see that happening is if one of them beats Haye and I wouldn't want that. Amatures being fast tracked isn't good they get unstuck too often after a few good wins and if that don't happen they always get early stoppages for them and extra help if they're in trouble in the ring.

I agree with Ourkid re the American Heavyweight.... can see what the OP is saying - if we get a Bowe, Holyfield, Tyson scenario type of fighter then I think it will pick up interested in all apects of the sport.

However, I don't think a "belt holder" for the sake of being a belt holder will. Did Shannon Briggs pick up any interest. What about the second reign of Rahman? Even McCall's reign gets kind of forgotton about. I can see why an exciting US heavyweight will be a good thing, but thats not realistic in the near future.

Good post, defo need the BBC/ITV to get back involved, also feel we need top domestic clashes, John Murray-Kevin Mitchell, Mathew Hatton- Kell Brook, David Price-Tyson Fury, Danny McIntosh-Tony Bellew, Ricky Burns- Steve Foster, Scott Quigg-Jason Booth. The list could go on, think it could get more fans back to the sport if terrestrial TV would show some of these.
Good luck to all our boys who go for titles overseas.

I can't see the bbc or ITV getting involved again. The rest I agree with perpas not super 6 a super 8 where its a knock out competition.

the BBBofC to become more proactive in the making of domestic fights. I would like them to get a press officer to publicise boxing in the UK i would also like them to produce top 10-15 rankings for each weight division domestically so there is more transparency in the logic behind fighters getting shots at the British title.

This would also have the effect of making the area titles legitimate stepping stones to the title rather than baubles to be fought for on small hall shows. This would go some way to putting the prestige back into some of the titles.

ideally i would like other commonwealth countries to become more interested in the commonwealth belt but it looks like the belt is on the decline these days.

Bigger and better bills!!!!

We need more of the magnificent 7 style of bill and it's not yet been mentioned

I'm not a big fan of sitting through 6 non-competitive fights before we get to the big one, we need well matched fighters going in with each other all night

yes hyped up guys will lose there 0's and promoters will argue it's not cost effective or whatever but it's what I wish for and if boxing wants to entice more fans this is the way forward

The way I see it is Mag 7 and great 8 Britain vs the world PPV's are only like what you used to get for your oney when they first started to do PPV's which is a good thing and needs to happen more often.

Sky seems to be encouraging promoters and match makers to work together to put good competitive shows on which is a good thing even if it's a bit of a threat.

As a wish list of fights there's a few that I want to happen that's already been mentioned but overall I just want good competitive fights with good undercards. More relevant tournements like super 6 but as a knock out process, drawn in fa cup style.

No boxing show should have less than 5 fights on it but then saying that I don't want cards with tons of fights with hardly any competitive fights on paper at least. PPV's to show at least 4 fights in full, less prizefighter, regular boxing on other channels, smaller promoters having showcase events on tv, highlights package in the style of Match of the Day.

To add to the original post, Gamboa vs Juanma, Khan vs Bradley (Alexander), Burns vs Fana, Martinez vs Bute. Sky to replace Glenn McCrory with Emmanuel Steward, and get Buncey involved.

Adding to my post i would also like Sky to stop giving a number of promoters contracts and make them bid for tv dates instead. This would ensure that there is a more competetive environment where the best fights can get made as each promoter would know the others would be snapping at their heels it would give peeople like hennessey and other smaller promoters a chance to get their foot in.

More from the TV networks. Whether it is PPV or not... I would like to see more cards available from around the globe. Hopefully, this "Mychannel" can get some involvement.

Would like to see more from small hall promoters also - use Youtube to promote your fighters or something.

I agree with most of those them points. But apart from the obvious I would like to see more boxing in the press and in the publics mind.

Things like documentaries (and I'm not talking the polished behind the ropes style) about boxers, gyms or coaches would be welcome, and have a place on BBC2 or Channel 4 or whatever. Even if made independtly they can at least direct some attention to upcoming fights etc.

I appreciate they aren't necessarily focused on the mainstream, but the beebs documentary of Lewis' training camp prior to Holyfield was excellent, as was the Little Prince Big Fight. Just need more of them, it would have been good to have one for Hatton Mayweather, that didn't succumb to the hollywood of 24/7 and was more real, more informative.

Coverage of the World Series of Boxing would be good too, and perhaps a London franchise in 2011.

Anything that can show what great atheletes boxers are too, the struggles they have, the sacrafices they make and the loneliness of the sport would be great in getting the public on side.

But really I wish that Froch, Khan and Haye all dominate next year and really raise the profile of boxing. Between them they really are a great advert, physically impressive, tough fights, camera friendly and young. They really should flying the flag in 2011 with the young crop coming through.

1: BBC and ITV to make their return to Boxing to give British boxers more exposure to the British public.
2: Carl Froch to win the Super Six and to fight Lucian Bute.
3: Ryan Rhodes to fight for and win a world title.
4: Amir Khan to fight the winner of Tim Bradley and Devon Alexander.
5: Tavoris Cloud to fight Jean Pascal with Nathan Cleverly fighting the winner
6: David Haye to fight the Klitchskos
7: James DeGale v George Groves
8: Darren Barker v Matt Macklin
9: Alfredo Angulo to make a return once he has got his Immigration problem soon, as he is good fun to watch.

My wish list in no particular order;

Thrilla in Manila 2: Mayweather v Manny in Manila, final and ultimate fight.(not my orginal idea I must confess)

Carl Froch, after having endured a fustrating 11 rounds in Oakland Califonia knocking Andre Ward on his ass for a count of ten.

Brian Magee taking a world title from Sartison in front of a roaring crowd in belfast.

Haye to finally man up.

Willie Casey creating a sporting memoury that will be witnessed only once in a lifetime, rising from the canvas and returning from his corner after repeated and unindurable punches till he exhausts and then breaks the heart of Rigondeux with his own unstoppable will to succeed and finishes him in the time honoured Rocky fashion.

Hell, keep the rest just give me Willie Casey.
