According to this Romanian sports website and their rather nifty little English translation, the fight is indeed off.
Locksmith Alexander (Alejandro Lakatos) was announced at the last minute that doctors can not beat Liverpool on Saturday for the WBO Interim Light Heavyweight world title because he had contracted respiratory viral last week.
Got to love Google translate...

What are the chances of Clev getting a replacement three days before the fight do we think?

Guys this is bollox. allegedly's site has just put this statement on from Clev and time stamped 7pm, so cannot see any truth in this.

This post is utter rubbish, the fight is on. Nathan left for Liverpool at 6pm today.

The card falls apart if this is off. Another forum are reporting this is off too.

He could have left, but his opponent may not have.

I really hope this fight isn't off as well as Gavins! I was really looking ti see Clev's progress and hoped to see him show off more of his skills rather than fitness!

Warren will play that one out a bit longer, get them both on course to make the fight for a World title!

Gavin wasnt on SBO anyway from what I saw on the running order

Hope this isnt off though, I suppose that's what Frank gets for getting a poor WBO opponent, it's these silly belts.

Could well be the case, with 8 fights scheduled there's always a big chance one or two will get scrapped, more so in this sort of weather with flu bugs flying about. I think FW will be working the phones right now, finding a Eastern European to keep Clev ticking over.

I'm more looking forward to the real main event, Smith v DeGale. And the Bomber fight should be bombs away. No chance they'll make Clev/Bomber just yet, not on their last showings.

The PPV is being plugged as G8 Britain vs the World..... well the world part seems to be imploding, but the plug for the PPV is that there are 8 title fights.

By my Maths it included Gavin, Clevs and Chisora.... Larry O has got a title fight now... so he fits one of the 8 now... how will they fill Clev's and Chisora's absence?

Chisora in a defence of his British title?

can they find an opponent for Clev for the Vacant Interim (oh how I laughed at this fight being announced) WBO interim title..... can they find someone to fill this guys shoes - I think yes.
