If no one on here can help you then it may be worth your while to contact Brian Donald at the Edinburgh Evening News.

Lives in Croydon now, very good mates with Billy Secular (Smith) ex pro who is a good friend of my family. Nice bloke, excellent trainer and very very good fighter. Bobby settled in South East London (Walworth) when he moved doen from Scotland.

He's in good health and would still make a top trainer.

Trained Lloyd Honeyghan for the Donald Curry fight.

Bobby was a great trainer, one of our best. He turned Alan Minter from a reckless, cut-prone slugger into a smooth-boxing world champion, and did much the same with Honeyghan, who looked awful in some of his early fights. Mickey Duff raves about Neil in his autobiography.

I am pretty sure Bobby Neil was one of the first boxers to survive brain clot surgery after he collpased into a coma in the dressing room whilst losing his title to Terry Spinks. In those days - a boxer who got a brain clot usually died from it and Bobby Neil fought the odds and won. A boxing legend who crossed swords with one of the most dangerous featherweights ever in Davey Moore when he was world champion.
