Larry looked fat with his trunks at his nipples.

Not that I would say that to him if I met him :D

MachoMan09 wrote: You've a warped rationality about you, KG, do me a favour: give a lowdown on Larry's conditioning last evening in terms of sustaining his output, strength and power throughout the contest. You have said he pace himself well, so I guess he did OK but in terms of 'punch-stat numbers', how busy was he?
Big O missed with a few in the first, upped his output in the second, went to the jab a bit more in the third, he came out heavy in the fourth and scored the KD but didn't follow through in the fifth, his output went down and he did seem to tire in this session, did very little in the sixth but got back on it in the seventh and eighth. The stats weren't prodigious by any means and he should have put more into the fifth.

Given his build, I was expecting him to eke out a points win after it went to the midway point, and it probably would have gone to the cards had the ref not stepped in, but he picked his spots well in the last two and whether by design or due to his energy levels he chose his moments and was harder to read as a result.

The guy always looks great but his build means that he'll never have a huge output, shades of a body builder about him, it looks wonderful on the surface but you do wonder how his cardio will cope when boxing someone like Big John, who looks loose but has natural ability.

For a heavy, given his frame and under the circumstances his punch output was acceptable and the fact that he had a breather, rather than trying to force his advantage, might point to the fact that he's got a decent boxing brain about him. Time will tell.
Thanks. That reads pretty much excatly how I thought it would. I like Larry a lot but I can't help but worry he may well struggle to step-up too far because of the limitations of his physique. I'd like to see him take another 14lbs or more off, he is undoubtely carrying surplus muscle mass.
i think the problem is at least as much about his overall tenseness/lack of ability to relax in-ring, as it is a question of pure muscle mass

I don't think he made it on the plane over for some reason or another.

What was Larry's weight for this fight - my first reaction to the clip sky showed was there must have been some major problems in the build up. Larry always "looks the part" but last saturday he did look flabby.

Thanks machoman, your comments are justified and I am really thinking about what you have said as it makes sense. I was too heavy for that fight which I am remeding for the next one but I am glad i did the 8 rounds and now i will work to make sure the pace is higher

John McDermott makes the perfect next opponent for Larry.

Great domestic scrap and a good step up for Larry.

Im training with John at the mo he is back with his old trainer and he is in the mood as the first Fury Fight aint seen him as Hungry ( and i dont mean Big Mc's Chips etc) super fit knows he needs to win this fight to get back in the picture, be a very good fight that i cant see going 10 rounds....

Good to hear John has got his mojo back.

If this is not going 10 rounds, I could see Larry catching John Early but not sure if John can stop Larry late.

The SIA badge beckons Larry your not going much further

WARmachine

You gotta laugh

PS: There's always the EBF you would do well there, Mark 'I was knocked out by a one armed man' Potter has won 20 straight all KO's

BIG fish little pond you'd fit in a treat

is that right about potter? what kinda wages is he making>?

'Wages' I dunno, mate of mine is on a tenner a ticket, Potter as a 'big' name may be on better (I'm told Michael Gomez pulls in £20.00 a ticket) but he's not getting rich

Potter goes under the name: 'The White Shark'

Warmachine v The White Shark ... sounds like a Godzilla film
Mark's doing alright for himself moneywise and he hasn't fought in the EBF for awhile now he is doing mma and has won all his fights except for a dis-qualification. He had about 15 fights in the unlicensed, and thats the problem with it, it's not strict on who can fight and who can't. If you want I could Pmls you his phone number or even better you could pmls me yours and I'll pass it along. I'm sure he'd love to get in the ring with you :TU:

Mid 40's messaging on here giving people shit, why don't you go out and get a woman instead of sitting there being a dick.and linking all your comments to stupid links.KEYBOARD GANGSTER.

I'm in my mid 40's I had my last fight 17 years ago and I have severe Arthritis in my right thumb and index finger knuckles (courtesy of boxing) so I'm probably an ideal opponent for him (in fact I'm better than at least 90% of his EBF opponents) Let me arrange to have my right shoulder dislocated and it's on. As for his number of fights '20 all knockouts, 13 or 14 in first round' is a direct quote from Mr. Dianobol himself on an MMA site
Mis
Funny he's now the supreme destroyer now but with the BBBC he was (as mentioned) flattened by a one armed man (how that MUST haunt him) he collapsed with exhaustion against a flabby Russian, outpointed by the two stone lighter Keith Long and half blinded by Sprotty

Are we supposed to be impressed by you having Potters phone number?

Sadly no and your little tirade marks you down as prick
