I'll watch it later, Mark. Did he accuse him of being racist, by any chance?

Looks like Hopkins got to Pascal there!hurlock wrote:noticed pascal couldnt maintain eye contact in the staredown, bit like smith v degale, but then pacquio was the same v hatton??
I remember that,Buncey nearly crapped himself!alexpaterson wrote:We need Buncey there to put B-Hop in his place. Like he did before the Calzaghe fight
The build up to this fight has been great so far. Hopkins is sooo good at getting into the other guy's head. I'll really be rooting for Pascal, but he's up against it. Hopkins is a hard fight for anyone from the 168ers to the cruiserweights, I don't care what people say about him being old. He's a live dog against any of the guys in and around his weight class. I hope he gets beat for the sake of the light heavies, and I really like Pascal, but I've got a horrible feeling Hopkins has his number. Here's hoping I'm wrong.likethisone wrote:Hopkins is really the funniest character around.

I admire Hopkins massively for his dedication to the sport but you can't go underestimating his comments, this is a guy who openly admits to bullying, robbing and beating anybody on the streets of Philly who had something he didn't have,he's conditioned himself to be animalistic and he conducts the same intimidation skills to this day just without the voilence.BIGMARK wrote:Hopkins is just such a Character, i know a few are calling him a racist but i always thought he was using that to get to Calzaghe and thought it was more a very poor choice of words/tactics which still doesnt excuse racisum but a mistake rather than hate.likethisone wrote:Hopkins is really the funniest character around.

Robbing people on the streets and going to jail aren't the actions of a smart man to be fairBIGMARK wrote:IMO he was always been smart but that and my previous commnets are just my opinions so to be honest i could be wrong.Andypittcov wrote:Good points mark but I wouldn't be that confident he's changed maybe he's just got smarter.
So do u think he would go back to that life if he lost all his money tomorrow or not?BIGMARK wrote:but are the acts of trying to survive, there are many smart people in all walks of life but if you dont get the breaks it can still be toughAndypittcov wrote:Robbing people on the streets and going to jail aren't the actions of a smart man to be fairBIGMARK wrote: IMO he was always been smart but that and my previous commnets are just my opinions so to be honest i could be wrong.
that statements laughable,he's from a far worse background than the average boxer,he's from one hell of a tough area and he's spent 5 years in jail, you think that's the norm?,and the reason this is relevant is because Bernard himself says it's that background that shaped who he is today.Coco wrote:Bhop went to jail as a kid and hasn't reoffended since, all this stuff going on about coming from the streets etc is laughable, he has hardly come from a worse backround than the average fighter
