good match for degale i feel as it's one he win's & get's exposure whilst maybe bagging round's & a fight fan's all over can gauge & compare against past opponent's.

is it a sh1t match & people want our boy tested hard & early??

DeGale should be focusing on defending his title against British fighters. Not flying off to America to fight all sorts.

although if he did fight abroad i think brinkley would be a good fight , wouldnt be easy in the slightest at this stage of de gales career but i think id pick him after his performance against smith

im never meant for his next bout, id like to see quigley then mguire then international opposition. i think frank is gonna keep him real busy in 2011.

PLus a tasty domestic level unifaction match with George Groves could also be in the pipeline as well but I too do expect that allegedly shall be keeping De Gale busy with about 4-5 fights next year with the aim of winning Lonsdale Belt outright unifying it with Groves' Commonwealth belt with a couple of more defences and maybe at least an eliminator for the European Belt.

he bring's durability & is a safe bet to hone degales tool's against aswell as trying to do a better job then bute.

For once,i completely agree with GOmez!DeGale would hammer him.I think Smigga would beat him too.

Brinkley = Butterbean in shape

Brinkley did just fight for a world title and is well known though. He has fought at a higher level than someone like Smith has (which most members on this forum will have trouble admitting), and he enjoys name recognition in the US. It wouldn't be a terrible fight at this stage.

Me an Ollie were chatting about this last night, anything domestic other than Groves looks a step down but he isn't yet ready for the likes of Bika I don't think. Brinkley or Manfredo if he could be brought back up to smw would probably give him rounds.

Quigley, no one else, apart the ginger, should be next.

I personally think he should make a few defences, win the belt outright then look to the US and beyond, but instead it looks like he's going over there and looking to take on a few 'big' names - 'big' as in they're relatively well-known in America - before going for a world title.

Quigley and Groves over here in the UK would be stern tests.....far sterner than Brinkley.

Not sure why Quigley is a far sterner test. As much as people like to shit on Brinkley here, at least he has beaten more than two fighters with a winning record.

Brinkley's not that bad. Yeah, he's not World class, but neither is Quigley. I couldn't tell you who would win between Brinkley and Quigley, but if pushed I'd back Brinkley due to his experience at a higher level. I reckon Bute would find Quigley easier to beat than he found Brinkley.

Quigley and Groves are the only domestic options I can see. Unless Magee is an option after he fights Bute.

He's above British level IMO, I think he should be fighting top european and fringe world class fighters next. He'll be ready for a world title shot in half a dozen fights.

I'm no big fan of either but Quigley would come with more ambition than Brinkley and give him a fight...

JB's got a decent dig but has no mobility and is way past his 'best'

All I'm saying is, it would have been nice to see him go for the belt outright and sweep up domestically. If he doesn't I wonder if he'll get as much stick as Khan did for avoiding UK opposition.

I don't know why people are disrespecting Brinkley so much. Yes he is 34, but Bute aside he has been in the form of his career. His wins over the likes of Stevens and Griffin are pretty credible.

He deserved his shot IMO, showed he wasn't world class but I think represents a good gate keeper.

I think he is a level above Quigley.
