Have there been many fighters who didnt join the pro ranks til they were 30+

Off the top of my head Martin Rogan was 33 when he went pro and Matt Skelton was 35.

Skelton was a K1 Kickboxer, so boxing was only half the work, for more money. Now he freezing in some smelly cell for Xmas.



It is Saturday, so Rogan will be out working tonight :D

Saw him beat Shep at Sands Centre in Carlise, was sat two seats from Sheps bird and remember her screaming when he hit the deck......

i was twenty nine,had four years out from my last am to first pro fight,age is a number i was much fitter at 30_-32 than when i was 21. :DDD

Boxrec's tijuana1 turned over at 33 and has already managed to box at The York Hall,The Kings Hall and take on Frankie Gavin at The M.E.N on Sky box office!He also won on the first professional show in his hometown of York for 11 years which meant a lot to him :TU:

Shaun farmer former pro 18 fights 7wins 10 loses 1 draw.boxed a lot of decent kids at short notice.I never lost 10 bouts.not a chance. :bag:

He was great tho wasnt he! :) the way he went about the job and those reflexes at 43!

Johnny Greaves turned when he was 29!! 60 odd fights already in 3.5 years.
