This is a guy that for some reason you hardly hear about anymore. He was a very good exciting fighter during the late 1970s-early 1980s. He two great fights against Bobby Chacon, and also beat Bazooka Limon.
He was not a legend, but was a very good fighter who was very exciting to watch.

Does anyone else remember much about him?
Any theories of why he is all but forgotton?

He lives comfortably in Las Vegas and trains fighters. Boza was and is a class act.

One of my favorites growing up. I always use him as an example of why Gatti isn't a HOF fighter just because of his wars. Boza had some wicked brawls and was a better fighter than Arturo. Good to hear he is doing well.

As for theories why he is forgotten. I think a lot of people that were big time into the fight game in the 80's have lost enough interest that there aren't many of us on these forums.

He had a few other fights televised. A draw with Terrence Alli and an upset KO loss to Rolando Navarette in an all southpaw battle.

Boza Edwards would have busted up Gatti and stopped him.

I watched his second war with Bobby Chacon the other day, he was such an exciting fighter. I thought he was unlucky not to get the decision against Chacon.

Knew him well when he was living in Harrow

Used to watch him spar regularly at The Wellington.

Britains greatest 130lb fighter without any doubt.

Could box and bang. Truly world class in both departments.
