Does anyone remember watching Kasi Kaihau box? He was active during the 1990s. He once fought Harry Simon and also boxed Jamie Moore.

Terry - His elder brother Samoti was a good kick boxer and a real handful and I think that Kasi trained at it but I'm not sure he had any bouts.

I remember him fighting Paul Samuels on Sky. He picked up a nasty bruise around one eye and then Samuels floored him - and whacked him right on the eye when he was down. The referee did f uck all.

Was that Tom Hill? For such a little club they had some bloody good boxers come from there. Kasi is a pal of mine, he really enjoyed his boxing and misses the cameraderie and discipline. He's doing ok now though and is happy enough. I'll see him this week and tell him he's been remembered; it'll make him smile.

I know he is on the '101 greatest knockouts' dvd. He looks pretty cool in that and the lad he is boxing was unbeaten and on the way up. Kasi says the best he boxed was Harry Simon and he got tired and nervous in the bout and lost his nerve a bit. He says that Wayne Alexander was another very good boxer; he said every punch from him was crisp and fast. Wayne hit Kasi a bit low but Kasi said he was getting a good hiding in any case; he really rated those 2 but hasn't a bad word about anyone he boxed and said he had some right laughs with Peter Buckley and Howard Clark and other characters. He says he'd do it all over again if he could; he loved it and would make a good trainer if he had the time.

I didn't want to stop the thread. I was really interested if anyone could remember Kasi box. I know Jamie Moore sometimes posts on here and Kasi got in with him. Wonder if Jamie can remember?

Yes I remember Kasi, I boxed him at the palace hotel in Manchester. Think you were right about him getting nervous, so it didn't help with my lot screaming at him!! He could punch a little bit, but I hurt him to the body early and had him down 3 times in the 1st round. He survived the 1st but I got him the second, again with a body shot, and the ref stopped it. Did himself proud though keep getting up. Tell him I said hello and wish him all the best from me when you see him.

Kasi came round yesterday and he had a look at this and he was really smiling. He would like to know who FightAcademy and Southpaw are coz it puzzled him for ages. He says hello to Jamie Moore and could not stop laughing that Anthony Farnell had remembered him. He sent me a text this morning about it, he couldn't get his head around the nice things people had said. Thanks to you all; you made an ex-boxers day.

Thanks for that Stefy; he was really puzzling about who you were but it really cheered him up. I'll see him today or tomorrow and let him know. Good luck with the training; Jamie Mcdonnell is some fighter, I know a pal of yours; Lee Cunningham from the clothes shop in Donny (Section 4 and Vibe), he's a good kid and boxing mad. take it easy.

Another thread reminded me who I'd seen him in with - Billy McDougall. Got zero recollection of the fight though.
