After Sky chose Khan over Haye...

..they can whistle if they think i'm paying a single penny to watch khan in a non-fight against <insert name of cannon fodder here>...

they really are messing up their coverage of khans career by putting him on these sort of ppv's too early.

whatever happened to the days when a fighter built up his fan base on free to air / normal sky and then went for the dosh once the big fights started?

They wouldn't be able to move it because of HBO but they could have pushed Khan to non-PPV.

Forget changing plans for Haye-Klitchsko though while they can't decide what colour shorts they want to wear. Doesn't seem Wlad wanted it anyway if the Adamek reports are true (only heard from Adamek camp so far), for him to have two fights almost settled it seems he wasn't too interested in this one.

because haye / wlad is clearly the bigger fight.

because khan will be facing a no hoper and the match will be unworthy of being a ppv.

why is khan more deserving than haye?

i'd pay 20 bucks for the haye fight if necessary.

i wouldnt give you more than a fiver for the khan one.

If you are smiling at that I'm unsure how you think they chose Khan over Haye? They didn't set the Khan date and can't change it.

So? he had the date first and Haye is retiring in 10 months, in theory Khan is going to be on SKY PPV for a long time to come. It's a business.
yes it is a business and they would make far more money out of the haye fight than the khan one. khan needs sky as much as sky need him...moreso in fact.

Where else is Khan going to get the same sort of revenue on British TV? Sky Sports is far bigger than Khan and they could live without him, whereas his purses would be significantly reduced without Sky. If they so wished they could have dropped him for one fight without retribution. Not that I think they should have.

I love blaming Khan for everything from the snow to the horrible jumper at xmas i got off my girlfriend's nan.

But it's not Khan's fault at all this predicament occured. It's likely behind the scenes lots of organising has been put in and it's been an open secret he was fighting in UK in April to everyone.

Fact is both heavyweight parties have bullshitted there way through poor opposition until there is none left - then they will fight. Right now there are still stiffs out there and pay cheques to be made and only when they are cleared out of the way and any co-promotor and tv wranglings are put to bed - will the fight be made.

I dont buy for one second he will retire. He pulled that stunt already when claiming he couldnt make the Macca fight due to weight issues and then got on the scale 2lb under with a bottle of water in his hand.

It's all a ruse.

I'm not saying he would get the same purses for SKY, but he doesn't need them. His next fight is on HBO which means it would simple for Primetime to sell a PPV.
Not need, but the balance of power is in Sky's favour. If they dropped him for one fight, I doubt he would move. Let's not forget they didn't buy the Paulie fight. I'd guess he'd sell double, but probably more, on a Sky PPV than Primetime.

and neither do sky need khan but this isn't about amir...this is about sky makin (or not) the haye / klits fight happen...which would undoubtably be the biggest fight of the year unless pbf mans up against pac.

HBO chose the date, I assume SKY have a contract with HBO about showing Khan's fights.
then throw em a sweetener with the haye klit fight.

the point is that sky didnt bend over backwards to accomodate the fight...and they should have done.

I'm not missing your point, I know what you are saying. But being realistic he wouldn't choose Primetime over Sky just because Sky dropped him for one fight, that's my point.

Although i agree khan should not be box office yet, when he says he's going to fight he actually goes through with it,maybe sky wouldn't risk being messed about by haye/klits on/off/on/off saga

And that the April date has been mooted for around 2 months. Why should he suddenly have to be moved after they promised him the date to accomodate a fight that has been mooted for several years and never come to fruition. It would also seriously screw up Khan's schedule when we all expect him to face the winner of Alexander-Bradley in the summer.

I have never paid for a Khan fight - I won't start now.
