Armageto - managed Robinson to number 1 status in the welterweight season. SRR was impressive, becoming multiple-world champion on multiple occasions.

jBacca - managed both Walker and Napoles to the top 10 for majority of season. Firstly Walker was undisputed champion, and then Napoles was multiple world champion on a numerous occasions.

Kevo - took Sugar Ray Leonard to Million Dollar glory when he landed the prestigious title courtesy of Detroit's tournament. Finished as undisputed champion, stopping Robinson, Armstrong and Napoles in successive fights.

Sockodagger - Managed Carmen Basillio who became undisputed champion on a couple of occasions and was the one fighter who consistently beat Sugar Ray Robinson.

Detroit - Managed Luis Rodriguez who become a multiple world champion after beating the legendary Henry Armstrong. Finished in the top 10 in a tough division.

Some what agree, but a point to look at is Buzz had Walker rated when he dropped him. You picked up an already established fighter that was a top 15 pick. So having two top 15 picks, I'd think you would have one of the better, if not the best, stable out there. Not to discredit you at all though. You did a good job.

Buzz took him there, but dropped him after 10 weeks, and all Walker had fought whilst under Buzz was computer controlled fighters. I took him and fought human fighters from the start, including a win against Buzz's capture, Gavilan, in Walker's first fight.

Look at Mosley's rating and note that he was a solid top 20 fighter for the whole second half of the season, notching wins over Basilio and Rodriguez into the bargain. Hearns bookended the season with titles, knocking out Robinson in the final week to claim one of them, and his only poor results in the secind part of the year were two draws, a cuts loss, and Gavilan's amazing last gasp out of nowhere stoppage. Aside from Leonard, he was the fighter of the closing weeks.

I know, mate. I wanted to limit the list to 5 candidates though, and I thought these 5 brought the most stand out results.

Hearns was turning out to be a machine, and I'm sure would have got himself a nomination had the season gone on for 40 weeks.

I console myself with that every night. I've got good hopes for this season though. The SSM stable is again strong. Well, apart from Eubank....

Don't worry your pretty little heads about Eubank, he'll be alright

Self Serving spin!!! Now this is pure spin....and through YOUR EYES obviously. I gave to charity, in a throw away whim inspired impulsive moment, and My OWN SECOND DRAFT escorted your man right out of the UNIFIED CHAMPIONSHIP. What I wanted was 3 champs KNOWING FULL WELL that ANYONE could take Walker to the top. I wanted a hail Mary season....and be the first and only to have 3 champions in one season. However Kid Gavilan was already destroyed by poor management by the time we acquired him. So we only managed to get 2 champs that season. Trust me Crease could have managed Walker to the top.....no great feat there. But try getting a fighter like Williams there......NOW your talkin' challenge!

Williams did well achieving what he did. It's a great accolade being unified champion and you, with Williams at your control, was certainly close to being on this nominated list.

Managers are up for what they have achieved though, not who they lost to. You, with Walker, achieved nothing. I'm not being harsh, the facts are there.

.....and "negative" should be no more astounding than "positive" on an unbias achievement scale, You can not rule out the miracle that Crease managed, in completely subduing a force of nature.


That was quite an accomplishment itself. Not sure anyone else here could have pulled that off.

Giving someone manager of the season for riding Robinson to the top seems a bit like giving someone an award for making it rain. It's simply going to happen, whether you "try" or not.

I whupped Napoles with a much lower rated fighter consistently.

Williams had no real accomplishment, aside from ducking not only Robinson, but Simon Brown.......


He fought how many CPU fighters in 35 weeks? I'm going to guess between 20 to 25..............

This poll is a fruad,

I took a guy Cotto, ranked an 8 by the sims. He become the first guy to hold 2 belts. These guys being mentioned above had great fighters to bebin with. It takes skill to steer a guy like Raf Marquez, or Cotto to the top of the sims.
Even a mug can steer SRR or Armstrong to a title. Well except Crease he took a great fighter (Duran) and turned him into a sims joke
