Lamon Brewster Retires. Career Thoughts?

He was probably my favorite of the revolving ABC champs of between Lewis and the Klitschkos. Certainly not the best, but very entertaining style, and he always seemed to come in shape.
His fights against Liakhovich and Krasniqi are borderline classics. And no matter how gassed or sick or whatever Klitschko was, Brewster put him on his ass and made him stay there. Then had the guts to get back in for the rematch even though he had to know what was to come.
I thought he was one of the good heavyweights to have around when the division was/is at its worst. I just wish he would have had a few more interesting matches against guys like Byrd, Ruiz, Toney, and a few others. It is hard to tell where he stacks up because his title defenses came against Meehan where he might have lost, Golota who was scared to death as usual, and Krasniqi where he came from behind. It is too bad he and Byrd couldn't unify when they held titles. I really would have liked to see how that turned out.
Either way he was one of the good guys. Polite and humble and didn't seem to duck anyone.
