If and when the details become public regarding the date and location of Gary's funeral, could somebody please post them or pm me as I would like to pay my respects in person. I met Gary several times and enjoyed his company immensely. I feel it only right to say goodbye in person. Obviously if it is the familys wish to keep it a private affair then of course that would be respected.

Yes, I've had someone ask me this too so (as long as it won't be private) if details could be posted on here, I'd appreciate it.

Details of former British boxing champion Gary Mason's funeral have been announced.

A public funeral service for the Roundshaw estate resident will take place at Carshalton All Saints church on February 11 at 12pm.

A private burial, currently for family members only, will then take place at Croydon Cemetery at 2pm.

Mason was killed while cycling in Wallington on January 6.
