ringside-classy tribute to gary mason and ricky hatton

tonights ringside was tremendous. We all know british boxing is looking good in the ring.....but on tonights evidence on ringside so is british boxing outside the ring.
Great to see ricky hatton utterly gracious and so supportive of up and coming fighters back on our screens, johhny nelson and smith were their usual excellent selves......but what stood out for me was the classy and deserved tribute to gary mason. My girlfriends father was garys doctor for a while long before i met here,and she was shocked at his sad death .We all saw ed robinsons heartfelt and genuine tribute to the big guy .i think the fact we now have figures such as robinson,tris dixon and james slater on the scene who genuinly care for the fighters is a great thing.
Boxing news this last week had tremendous pieces on ex fighters iran barkley and bennie briscoe. Boxing magazine shows whether they are on tv or printed will do well with these kind of well researched well written stories if they are to compete in this world of instant access to news and information.
