Paul is one of the nicer guys in boxing,id like to see him get a fair deal for facing Amir,£150,000 plus expenses for his troubles would not be out of the way for promoters to pay out,Paul is a good legitimate contender and should be aknowledged as such,good luck Paul if you take it, but not on the cheap for gods sake

Depends on his ambitions. If he feels its too early in his career to take on somebody like Amir then don't do it. Not many fighters get an opportunity to take on a world champion on PPV TV, and with it an increased profile, name recognition and exposure. Even if he put up a decent losing effort you would have to think he'd be in a better position than he is now. Ultimately Khan doesn't really need McCloskey and could offer the fight elsewhere. Not fair to be offered such a small share of the pot, but that's life. He's not the mandatory challenger for any of the four titles.

Anybody know how money is shared out for mandatories? Is the split set by the regulating body?

Let's just hope they don't sign the cheque out to Paul McCluskey...

Yeah the cash is divided with the approval of the title body... At least that's always the impression I had of it.
