Joe Bugner went thirty nine rounds with Frazier and Ali and was never knocked out.

And 12 rounds with Ron Lyle.

He was a smart, outside fighter. I don't see Quarry knocking him out.

And how many rounds did he win? Bugner would be the easiest win for Quarry.

What does that have to do with anything? :shame: ThatOne and The Great John L are surmising that Bugner would have lasted to the final bell with Quarry (I agree with them.) They aren't saying he would have won. Bugner was a pretty tough guy.

Of course he was tough. My point is that against the best he was a survivor and he would have been i survival mode against Quarry imo.

If anything, that proves our point: That Bugner would have gone the distance with Quarry.

Sure, I never said Quarry would knock him out but I do think Quarry would win a wide decision.

He beats them all . . .Young gives him the toughest fight of the bunch. Witherspoon would have moments early but ultimately get completly outclassed like Lyle was.
