Its a great fight for Hatton to take. If he is outclassed, then he has made some money and can come back to the UK with plenty of potential fights still available. If he is competitive then he will have done his reputation no harm at all and if he wins, then he's surely next in line for a world title shot.

I agree doctorboxing
Matthew at least walks the walk, best of luck to him; though he looks a level lacking in speed and power.
When he got a sniff he went for it. Respect to him.

I think he gets stopped early, but take nothing away from him. Kudos, and best of luck.

Ballsy, and I do think he is up against it.
I dont think Alvarez is quite as good as some our American counterparts believe he is. Time will tell.

Well done Matthew, sounds like he has worked it all out in his head so I don't think Alvarez will worry him too much in the mind games. Matt is older & more mature. I'm sure he will put up a good show although he'll need plenty of luck if it goes to the judges.

Even if he loses he'll still be euro champ, which means he'll still be able to climb the ladder albeit a bit more slowly. If he wins he'll be a star in his own right and step out of Ricky's shadow.
Alvarez within 8 is my prediction though, carries much more power than anything Matty has ever faced.

Ah I just realised Alvarez is that ginger mexican guy. He looks shit hot to be honest in the fights I've seen him, can't see Hatton having the firepower to keep him off, I see a stoppage he could rip Hatton to shreds.

Alvarez looks like he has a lot of Potential but when are they gonna start matching him with fighters that can test him?
This is a poor matchup.

I really can see Hatton KO'd early. It's not so much that he's not tough or not got a chin, more that he's open, especially early.
