Hopkins is rarely in a good fight and he would just nullify it, then moan when the judges don't give him the decision.

God no, couldn't think of anything worse. He finally gets airtime on sky and ends up in a stinker against a guy nearing 50 rather than cleaning up his own weight class

Agreed. The crafty old sod would fiddle him about and nick a decision. It's one thing for Frochy to look brilliant vs Abraham, who marched straight at him all night and presented an easy target, but Hopkins is horribly awkward and infuriatingly clever. No way should Frochy consider it, the path he's on is good enough as it is.

No. Let's see if he can get past the Road Warrior first, and if Ward beats Abraham (which I think is pretty much a given- Abraham's been completely exposed) then Froch-Ward as the super six finale is a very intriguing fight.
Hopkins' schedule is his rematch with Pascal and I'm sure he's not looking beyond that for the time being.

i think you write hopkins off at your peril. I also believe Froch would make the fight iexciting. Dont write off how big a payday they could both get. Hopkins is still extremley marketable, if froch won he would get more credit than you think. I would definately pay to see it, he could also bmake that fight happen in the UK - it would be huge

Absolutely.
Everything that Froch does that is entertaining, can be exposed by everything that Hopkins does that is completely un-entertaining.

Hopkins is a huge cheat and it amazes me how he gets away with it. Any fight involving Hopkins is pretty much a bore and it probably wouldn't be any different against Froch, but if Hopkins wants to play dirty I think Carl can match him better than most, which I think would take away a lot of Hopkins "effectiveness".
