According to Kathy Duva - sure it was her - on the radio a few weeks ago, now representing Adamek, Haye didn't even respond to their phone calls.

Adamek would have been a big fight....bigger than Chagaev.

And HBO would have backed it.

They can eff right off with this one.

Well if Adam Smith reads this board and Haye fought Harrison because it's what the public wanted, then lets all give our backing to Adamek for his next fight. All in favour say I!

Mormeck shouldn't be considered, if Haye is supposedly in his last year, why go over old ground against a 39 year old. As good as the first fight was, we don't need a see it again in this occasion

And it would still be a better fight than against Harrison Horse. Mormeck has actually beaten some fringe title level heavies

why cant he fight povetkin?!Povetkin is with sauerland who haye has one fight left of the 3 options he signed so that would be a logical fight.Povetkin is a better fighter than mormeck who is getting on abit now.

No way is Povetkin looking at anything other than pushovers at the moment. I'd say that one would be a none starter and doesn't fit with our A-Theme

lol fair enough,id love to see haye against adamek but like someone has already said im not sure if thats a non starter because adamek is gonna end up fighting wlad in poland in front of 60,000 later on in the year.Arreola would be interesting but he's been beaten by vitali and adamek himself so that takes the gloss off abit.

Arreola is not leaving America anyway. Haye/Mormeck 2 would be horrible.

Why not have Haye fight in the US, then? He hasn't main-evented there yet, and while Arreola has his limitations, he'd be the best/most marketable challenger if Haye was to defend there.

glyn wasnt the first fight common knowledge mormeck was virtually retired & had little motivation?? i remember him looking dejected on the ring walk.

Why all the hate? Chagaev is a walking virus so Booth has to look at the rankings and Mormeck is right in the mix, a man who dropped Haye. Sure, you get the feeling that Booth wants to give the French bull a nice payday because Mormeck really 'made' Haye, but Mormeck is still a million times better than Arreola, who wouldn't even beat Martin Brogan.

I'm all for the A theme and would like to throw George Arias into the mix

I'm betting he'd land at least TWO punches :)

Probably, but since Haye's last fight was against Harrison, I think to take another weak fight like this is even worse for his reputation than deciding to fight Harrison was.
