Met scott on saturday at liverpool olympia after mathews bout,he came into derrys changing room and said to derry infront of 20 plus people that he wanted to go out fighting the best and was a true gentleman.i personally saw a better lawton than the one boxing in prizefighter and feel he's not finished. He was involved in a great 12 round battle against a boxer on the up.Is this the end im unsure but the guy is credit to our sport.WELL DONE SCOTT.

Nice to hear these kind of storiest shame i missed it sounds like a cracking fight.
Its a tough situation for Lawton he probably wont be able to win another title but i feel he certainly could still be a domestic gatekeeper and be involved in some good fights but it is up to him he knows his body and there is nothing worse than fighting if your heart isnt in it

No I feel like he should retire now going on after a battle. If he carrieson I don't think it'll do him any good as I don't see him winning any titles or giving the Domestic champions too much trouble tbh. Good fighter and an absolute warrior.
