Cameron sounds reasonable to me. It would be a decent undercard fight on a Green Machine Promotion.

...and the girlfriend, both of whom the camera crew zero'd in on at every opportunity!

The walkup style of Cameron would be suitable opponent for Flores who likes to fight on the backfoot using his reach.

So Green will be fighting someone other Flores and Cameron, i like the idea of this, and i like the idea of Flores earning his rematch opportunity.

I'd be surprised if Greeny was back in the ring in April and just as surprised if this bout (BJ v Cameron) wasnt an undercard to Greens next bout. Barry Michael could probably put the bout on though.
If it happens I think BJ will destroy Cameron. Mid round stoppage or a very wide margin on the cards.

Flores is very average, i think a Flores Vs Cameron fight would be entertaining but Flores wins on Points as i now think Cameron is on the downward spirral!! I think hes weak at Cruiser and his punch resistance is also weakend!!

Last I heard he was recovering from an operation to remove an abscessed appendix.

just a thought but in a recent interview green said that he was struggling to put the weight back on and haddnt been this light scince his fight with mundine. if green cant put the weight back on in a reasonable time he might find his career in a low . mundines career is at an alltime low and if green is at the moment a lot closer to mundines weight. i wonder if theres any negotiations going on because of this? just a thought

yeah i heard about the operation. A lot of the people over on eastside forum seem pretty certain that he will retire again. Not sure if anyone over there is a reliable source...

There hasnt been too much in the media over in WA re Greeny and any type of comeback If I recall correctly Green did say he was looking fwd to getting back in the ring. I have heard he is having dramas putting weight back on.
As for Green v Mundine at a weight where Danny is at the moment, Green made comment that his boy could almost push him over he felt so weak !!
After watching Tavoris Cloud last night on fox I hope Green cant get back to cruiser and concentrates on light heavy again for a few decent pay days.....if Clouds the best out there (the bias US commetators were saying this, not me) I give Danny a good crack at him.

Green has recently said that him fighting in April would be "obviously impossible" due to his recent surgery and the fact that he has lost nearly 10kg of weight.

I also was wondering whether this might be the perfect excuse to fight Mundine at light heavyweight. I tend to think that Green is sort of stuck between divisions at the moment. He's a small cruiserweight (he reportedly drank 2L of water before weighing in a couple of kilos under the CW limit against Flores) and his at full cruiserweight his power is decent, but nothing special. However, I think that at 37 he would likely struggle to make the light heavyweight limit while still being in top condition. Another retirement would not surprise me.

I like the idea of Flores vs Cameron. Flores is good, I don't think Green won more than 7 of the 12 rounds against him, but he's not a power puncher, so it's conceivable that Cameron could go the distance against him. More likely, I think, is a mid to late rounds stoppage with Cameron cut and swollen after being countered all night.

Mundine recently got wiped like a dirty behind by a middleweight with 8 fights behind him. He is not the fighter he was.

If Green says he is 10 kgs underweight he obviously wants to build up again. Keep in mind that his last fight was a win over a previously undefeated fighter.

Flores may have been undefeated but the quality of his opposition was woeful

How does it compare to Mundine's? Flores is the no 2 rated cruiserweight in the USA, behind only Cunningham.

Troy Ross, and Steve Cunningham continuosly weigh in at around 87kg every fight, you don't have to weigh the full weight limit to compete as you know and be successful.

I like him as a cruiser, at LT Heavy the fights seem harder to make, and he does look healthier and strong still IMO.

well he isnt getting any younger, he may as well go for a title at LHW even if it means going abroad.

#2 in the US based on beating which fighters?

In the main Mundine's opposition has been woeful too

He has won a few regional titles as well as beating Patrick Nwamu who beat Ekhiminator (spelling possible) who was runner up to Ross in the Cruiserweight contender program. Flores has never been stopped in 26 pro fights.

He is the current WBO/NABO champion. As an amateur he was U S A Golden Gloves Light Heavyweight Champion and National heavyweight champion.
I suppose none of this matters because you have decided, for reasons known only to you, that he is a bum.
