It was just reported on sports radio station WFAN that the seven year old lawsuit between Don King and Terry Norris is finally over. Judd Burstein who represented Norris in the suit has sent the word out that King has just settled for $7.5 million.
The main figure of the lawsuit was former Norris manager Joe Sayatovich, who was alleged to have negotiated purses for Norris that were below his contract minimums. Papers filed stated that Joe Sayatovich breached his fiduciary duty to Norris and that Don King aided Sayatovich by paying him loans that amounted to well over six figures.
The defendants claim that Norris was not only informed of the loan arrangement but had approved of it. Norris denied the claims of defense and said that everything was done behind his back and without any approval on his part.
