Katsidis has to fight here that's what Australian boxing needs. Who else have we got? Does Daniel geal or Lenny Zappa fight the profile ?is mundine fighting wood again? How much longer is Danny green going to be around for? Katsidis is the man to create a bit of interest in the game I feel Australian boxing is going to be dead, a promotor here in oz has to get behind katsidis

The big money is overseas. Most top lightweights are North Americans who don't like to travel too far.

I agree a would gladly folk out to see him on main event. I think the Austalian public would really get behind him what a warrior. HE Ducks no one. Be better then the Mundanes and Dunny Bills that main event has the nerve to charge people to watch.

It is my understanding he cannot come back here with any practicality. So you won't see Mick fighting here

Head absorbs fair bit of punishment, which could be a problem in years to come.

Marquez just backed out of the Morales fight, so maybe he could lure him here

Why's he got bad handler's? Guerrero's a gem of an opponent to return on in my opinion?
In no way can Guerrero bang like Acosta, Rios, Soto or Antillon in the 135lbs division which if Mick was matched against any of them would have been a brutual war in which to return.
I personally think he murders Guerrero, I really do. Plus it will be good coin for him being on HBO again of which he's a fan favourite.

Lenny fights Vasquez for the IBF Lightweight title in Las Vegas next month. If he wins I suppose it is possible he will defend it out here.

Mate i hope he defends here, I've followed this bloke since he fought live on the Mundine card in 2007, and would feel robbed that we yet exported another fine product of these shores.
At some point some of our champions have to stay here and try and bring the boxing market back. And if successful this guy can, Mick Katsidis could do it, but honestly will never happen, so Lenny has the opportunity to corner stone the market for the lt weight fighters.

What is he wanted for? He already did time for the assault matter. If he had any outstanding criminal matters he would not have been allowed into the USA.

In what way? He did his time, unlike a lot of more "respectable" people.

Mate read the other Katsidis threads, this has been talked about heaps. Someone was saying he was wanted by the Federal Police for "import infringements" whatever that means. I haven't heard anything about any other than the law wanting him but I guess some people here know more than others, or at least pretent to. I read an article on horse racing that said it was weird why there were so many federal police at the his brother's funeral but who knows. I thinik a lot of people have heard something and then it has been blown up and passed on by another who has made it bigger again.
All I love watching this guys fight and hope he brings a big fight to Aus! Go Rocky

Speaking as a retired Policeman I can tell you that if Katsidis was wanted for anything serious he would not have been allowed out of the country or an Interpol warrant would have been issued for his arrest and he has never been hard to find. There is an old saying that a lie can go around the World twice before the truth has a chance to get its shoes on.

Very True Brute. Althoug hInterpol warrants can only be issued in certain cases and with certain countries, as far as I am aware. Also, Fed Police may wish to arrest someone for questioning on an indicablt offence if they don't have the evidence to lay charges initially

Katsidis spends a lot of time in the USA, which is an Interpol member. Years ago I fingerprinted a young man from Hawaii with American Police waiting to take him back to face court for murdering his parents.

Has someone else on another forum pointed out , If he had police chasing him he would'nt of been allowed in the states.
But the rumors are very very strong that Mick cannot come back , he stayed away from his brothers funeral , and i don't think that would off happenned if he was not being sought after by SOMEONE .
Obviously theres people who know the full story but don't want to share with a bunch of gossips and rumor mongers

As a reliable informant who works for the CIA told me, he can't come back to Australia, because Batman and Superman are after him and Kat is scared and is claiming they're on HGH

He did not come back for the funeral because he was in training for the title fight with Marquez and would have lost the opportunity if he was unavailable on the date. Boxing is a hard game in more ways than one.
