March 4 show is definitely on.
All fight negotiations have been settled.
Flights have been booked.
It will be a great show and I hope the people from New Zealand come out and support the show.

The 26th feb card is on : Robbie Berridge v.s Fiale Siaola and Jake Revill v.s Monty Feaua.
There not sure if they are the only 2 pro fights but theres alot of amateur fights aswell - certainly not the best bill on here but I'm just hanging out for abit of live boxing and it's only 25 bucks, tickets are on sale wednesday at the a.b.a stadium- anyone else going? cjscott????

I agree yid14, Any boxing is a good thing in my opinion. Especially for $25.
I go down to nearly every amatuer fightcard here in Perth, its cheap to get in and there's always plenty of action. There are only around 5-6 Pro cards a year, So if i waited to judge at them id see no boxing the rest of the year.
Plus the amatuers have a great set up, The bar is in a prime postion to watch the fights, Around 15-20m from the action, And on a raised area about ring height.

I've always seen some great fights at the amateurs, the two minutes rounds make for exciting rounds and there are often some great matchups. I challenge all BoxRecers to get along to the amateurs often, at least show that you're a true boxing fan and get along once before the financial new year. I think there is a show on in Melbourne at the Reggio Calabria club in a couple of weeks. I'm going to make the effort and get along and support our up and coming boxers, who wants to meet me there?
I'll find out the exact details tomorrow and post them here. Our own Removed is going to be competing in the state titles in NSW, why don't you Sydney siders' have a BoxRec meet up and get along to support him? I'm also sure that there are guys in all states, such as Ben K in W.A. and Adam Height and Hound Dawg in Queensland who regularly get along to the amateurs and would be fun to catch up with in person and have a quiet ale with.

Your spot on Dale, Supporting the Grass Roots level Boxing will only help the Young guys develop into Pro Boxers down the line.
There are around 5-6 Amatuers here that i think would make the transition to the Pro's without a problem right now. And another 5-6 young guys under 16 that if they stick it out could be great Pro fighters of the future.
Id also add, Ive seen some Amatuer fights that are every bit as good as Pro fights. I seen one 2 weeks back Between 2 good Amatures here in Perth. Luke Sharp Vs Renarto Olivara. It was a great fight.
Also Jeremy Allan's son Brandon fought on the card, The kid has only just turned 16 and is already the State Muay thai Champion at 80Kgs, and fights Amatuer Boxing. He will be someone to watch in the future, And im sure he will develop into a really good Cruiser or Heavyweight by the time he stops growing.

Gutted, the worst pro fights I've ever seen in my life!
Jake Revill pullled out (injured) So his opponent fought a middleweight (at best, I'm thinking light middle) and stopped him in the first, the guy was cruiser! And then Robbie Berridge won on points, but clearly could't (wasn't good enough) to get close to stoping him. Fortunatly there was lots of good ams on the bill so it made it worth wild. The second fight was a disgrace? Mr Revill your boy got beat

and clearly

Thats what happens yid14 when the ABA doesnt have a computer scoring system and uses clickers to judge fights.Pro fights in NZ are crap full stop..Next Sat if your around the ABA is putting on the NZ trials which should have a couple of promising boxers from around the country..
