Kell brook,my thoughts

Ive been critical of kell on here in relation to him calling out khan and I still stand by that point currently,i rewatched his fight against jennings and to be fair he's got a good boxing brain and timing although khan is a big step up.Id like to see him fight the unbeaten american mike jones.kell is currently number 1 in the wbo ratings and jones is number 2 so thats a logical fight and if kell came through it then i wouldnt have a problem with him calling out khan, etc.Kell and and jones could fight for the wbo interim title or something or pacquaio could be stripped and they could fight for the full title.Whats everyone elses thoughts?Id be interested to hear kells thought on whether he'd be willing to fight jones?

before i say he's going to become a world champion i need to see him fight a legit world level operator,if he's to beat the likes of khan, pacquaio, mayweather etc then i think he needs to beat the likes of mike jones in my opinion.

well i agree on that, they should have kell and jones meet for the wbo title, they're number 1 and 2 in the wbo ratings so that would be a good fight.Ive watched jones and he's decent but nothing spectacular,i think kell could beat him.

Really like the look of Brook, I just like to see the quality of his opponent improve, imo he's only fought Jennings who's anything above domestic level, in fact most his other opponents have been poor imports or area title level. Not really his fault, I remember a few years back a fight between him and Young Mutley being postponed and then cancelled, that wouldve been a decent domestic fight at the time.

Up until around 12-18 months ago, I considered both Brook and Nathan Cleverly at about the same level - they were looking impressive domestically and showing signs of world class potential - but while Clev has made a concerted step up in class against the likes Murat and Brancalion, Brook just seems to have trodden water for a little bit. Perhaps its circumstantial, but he remains one with potential rather than one to have moved up in class. I still feel he has what it takes to lift a world title, but he needs to start fulfilling his potential by fighting tougher opponents, rather than just hinting at it by dismissing the likes of Kotey.
