Just been announced that Premier sports will be showing Shobox the New Generation stuff starting on Saturday.

The deal is with Gary Shaw Productions.... does he do all the shobox stuff?

6.99 a month,

They do seem to listen to requests and fight for the viewer, just got to be realistic with the demands - I don't think they have a big budget.

So they have WSB and now Shobox, show the occasional other bills - but seem to listen.

Boxing fans in the United Kingdom will be delighted to hear that regular bouts from the best up and coming fighters in America will now be available live and exclusive on Premier Sports TV, Sky 433.

The channel has agreed to a long-term output deal with Gary Shaw Productions for the company‟s “ShoBox: The Next Generation” events starting with unbeaten Cruiserweight Lateef Kayode fighting Nicholas Iannuzzi on Saturday, February 5.

On top of great ShoBox events throughout the year, Premier Sports TV will access Gary Shaw‟s archive of world title fights from the past five years, featuring the likes of Vic Darchinyan, Diego Corrales, and Antonio DeMarco; top archive fights that will air as a precursor to the live ShoBox broadcasts.

Premier Sports spokesperson Richard Webb commented, “Showtime‟s „ShoBox: The Next
Generation‟ events are the place to view the best up and coming talent in America. We will showcase Gary Shaw‟s stable of fighters that are making their names on the Showtime network.”

For Shaw, the deal provides an opportunity to showcase his emerging talent to UK audiences. “I am excited to bring my ShoBox events to Premier Sports TV," says Gary Shaw. "These events feature future stars who are on the cusp of greatness, and I'm delighted that UK audiences will have an opportunity to watch their ascent."

The deal between Premier Sports TV and Gary Shaw Productions was brokered by sports marketing firm, Octapixx LIVE. The firm anticipates bringing other world promoters into the Premier fold. "This deal was about delivering hardcore boxing for hardcore sports fans, and we‟re happy all parties could come to the table to do so,” says Lowell Conn, Octapixx LIVE's Vice President.

Boxing fans are also reminded the channel is the exclusive home of The World Series of Boxing. This new and exciting global team concept culminates in finals to be held in Macau in May. Amateur boxers such as Kenny Egan, Pat Nevin and Tommy McCarthy go up against fighters based in Europe, USA and Asia. The tournament is sanctioned by the AIBA allowing amateurs to be paid while the winners in each division get automatic qualification to London 2012, making the stakes all the higher.

why did a sports marketing firm have to act as a middleman?!Couldnt they and wouldnt they in normal circumstances just contact the promoter directly?

During the gold rush, when scores of people flocked to pan the waters for gold nuggets, of the 5,000 people panning for gold, only 1 would find a big gold nugget.

good to see the diminutive Glaswegian winger is able to turn his hand to the pugilitic arts after a great career with Chelsea and Scotland.

I think £6.99 is good value a for Premier considering I pay £42 for Sky's lightest package just to watch Sky sports boxing.

i was impressed with shobox yesterday and hope they show some reruns since i missed the holyfield fight.
