Okay, I once created a fake opponent for Ricky Hatton ("Irish" Micky Ward) which was all done in fun and taken in fun. But this is low. No wonder allegedly tried to shut Eastside down...

How did Eastside start this rumour??? As I understand it, Hardhitters was contacted by his mate who believed the fight might be off. It sounded like a mate from home as opposed to a forum mate.

Obviously, it's big news so he posts a thread on his site (I won't name it incase the wrong eyes see this) in an excited state to see if any people in the know could confirm or quash what he's heard. Perhaps he was a little nieve but Christ, it's hardly crime of the century so I wouldn't hold that against him.

I can see why Spud's pissed off for being accused of this, but although he's at times rash he's not stupid. Spreading a malicious rumour about a Warren fighter amounts to suicide and I believe he has absolutely nothing to do with it.

So Hardhitters mate pulled his pisser? Big deal, he'll know not to believe him next time. I doubt few, if anyone, believed that Hatton was out after seeing how good he looked on TV yesterday. Unfounded and wind-ups aren't everyone cup of tea, but any forum would be a duller place without them.

Hey Bennie - ever seen the movie Gremlins?

There is this character in it who blames just about all the world's ills on gremlins, going round muttering about them under his breath.

"Bloody Eastside, ..........................Spreading rumours.....................they're out to get us closed down.........................."

Sound familiar?

I started the rumour thread here, I thought I made it clear where I had the source from, if not I appologise. Let's just say Lightsoot is correct on all aspects.

But again, to all offended parties (sorry ESB and Spud/Gum Shield). Also to Hard Hitters, I hope my post didn't contribute to you getting banned, cause no it was esb or here that started those rumours.

Incidently though, can't understand how Spud feels he's getting blamed... Bennie's post merely stated ESB, not Spud. I thought he was just a regular poster there now Its not your site.

As this thread has caused alot of problems and is incorrect, don't you think it should be deleted guys.
