I was having a bit of a moan the other day about how much it costs to watch boxing in your own home, i.e Sky subscription, Sky Box Office, Showtime, Premiersports, i've heard ESPN will show more UK fights in the future, so I had a thought:

The Super Six tourney should have had a set price, eg, £40 which covers all fights, including the final. Surely this would have earned more viewers and then obviously the hype surrounding it would be huge, because we'd all be watching, rather than waiting to read about it and then just regurgitating what other journalists have said (which I've seen a lot of).

Any thoughts?

It's difficult to buy a Super Six PPV Season ticket when there was no guarentee that the shows would all be on the same broadcaster. Primetime have been buying/airing them on a show-by-show basis. Now that Sky seem to be interested in Froch the Johnson fight will probly be on Sky.

they could maybe offer something like that and also a pay per fight one for all the last minutes buys that they cash in on.

alot of people wont want to part with 40pounds up front also some of the fights you would have been expecting were changed due to drop outs ect so could cause issues.

Maybe, as this the guinee pig run, things won't be as erratic next time round. I read that the creator of the Super Six is planning on going for Bantamweights next time. I don't doubt that there'll be good fights, but would that be a PPV success?

A TV season ticket, a little saving, would have been nice from a fan's perspective, but boxing is way to unreliable for anyone to plan almost two years ahead with a degree of certainty. Too much can go wrong.

It's an excellent point, and one that hopefully has been addressed for future tourney.

In MMA, Primetime are offering the Strikforce HW GP (3 shows) for the price of £24.95, or 9.95 each.

The same should've been done for the SS.

I had a Middlesbrough season ticket for years. Same sh1t applied there too
